I get an uneasy feeling when Neil closes the blinds to the window in his office. It faces where employees walk by to get to the casino floor or their lockers.
“I have to meet my ride.”
Neil turns the lock on the door, and I spring to my feet like a fire has been lit. He turns around and leers at my body before zeroing in on my chest. I know what I’m wearing is provocative, but it’s our uniform, and for fuck’s sake, he doesn’t have to be a creep about it. In some weird way I feel violated.
“I can take you home,” he offers.
I’d have to be dead in his trunk for that to ever happen. “No, I have a ride.”
“Sit,” he orders me.
“I can’t. My ride is waiting for me, so if we can move this along…” I push. I’ll never get why all the girls around here have a crush on him.
“You got a mouth on you for someone that’s already on thin ice.” I suck in a breath so I don’t lay into him and really lose my job.
“I’m sorry, but did I do something wrong? I wasn’t aware I was on thin ice.”
“Don’t play coy. You’re not the brightest, but you’re also not that dumb.”
Ouch. That stings a lot more than it should coming from him.
“You’re on probation for ninety days after you’re hired. We can let you go at any time for any reason.” He takes a step closer to me. It takes everything in me not to take one back. I’m not going to let him know he’s scaring the crap out of me. “Now sit down.” He points to the chair.
My eyes flick to the door, but he’s still in the way. If I scream, someone will hear me, but he grabs my arm before I can do anything. He jerks me to him, and I stumble forward.
“You didn’t have to throw yourself at me. I was going to give it to you.” He presses himself against me, and I can feel his cock against my stomach.
“Stop.” He keeps moving and pushing me backwards until I feel the desk against my ass.
“Do you like putting up a fight? Is that what gets you off? I’m down.” He tries to press me down onto the desk, so I put my hands on his chest and shove as hard as I can. He stumbles back and lands in the chair while I make a dash for the door.
I turn the lock and start to open it, but he slams it shut and pins me between his body and the door.
“Let me go,” I grit out, and he moves his mouth closer.
“You’re just a teasing cunt, aren’t you? Fine, you’re fired.”
I knew that was coming and after this, I had no plans on coming back.
“Move.” I try to push back, but he’s stronger than me.
“You tell anyone about this, I’ll tell them you threw yourself at me and got mad when I turned you down.”
Finally he steps back, and I yank the door open. I glance over my shoulder to see him rubbing the front of his slacks with a cocky grin on his face.
“It’s not like you have much to do anything with,” I snap, and his smile drops.
I slam the door closed and keep walking, but I hear him open it behind me. I don’t look back this time since there are too many people around for him to chase after me. Cameras line all the hallways. Too bad they aren’t in the offices.
When I get to the end of the hallway, I rush into the bathroom and lean up against the wall to try and get my pounding heart under control. What an asshole. Men like him never get what they deserve, and even if I told on him, he’d get a slap on the wrist. I’d get a comment about my outfit.
I roll my eyes, stepping in front of the mirror and making sure my outfit is in place. I smooth down my hair before pulling out my lip gloss and applying a fresh coat. I’m not going to let Neil ruin my night. I’m already fired, so I’m going to at least have this. I tug on the top of my corset, thinking I look pretty good.
Rogue was right about my outfit tonight. Once I knew he was coming I pulled out all the stops. Something had gotten into me. I normally wouldn’t wear something so showy, and I’d try to play the outfit down, but not tonight. It had been worth it. No one in my life has ever looked at me the way Rogue does. He didn’t just want me, he wanted to consume me. It made me feel sexy which relaxed me and encouraged me to toy with him.
