Liv smiles and places the side of her cheek on my chest. “God, you two are already hella annoying.”

“Aw, but we love you, baby.” I squeeze her and place my chin on top of her head.

“Yeah, yeah. I love you both, too.”

LIV

Three years later…

He’s going to kill me.

If there was ever a time when I thought Hudson’s head might explode it’s right now. His green eyes are wide and unforgiving as he stares back at me like I just told him I was pregnant.

Well, I am.

And that’s the news I just communicated that got him to stop working on his motorcycle and rise to his feet in all his full-blown glory.

“You’re fuckin’ what now?” he asks me, squinting his eyes a bit as I stand in our garage without much more reasoning as to how it happened.

We both know how.

Hudson is a maniac. He’s always hunting me down and it was bound to happen. The man has no turn-off switch, and it wasn’t like I did it by myself.

Lifting my chin, I can’t tell if he’s trying to comprehend the information or if he’s truly upset about it. Either way, he’s going to have to deal. And he’s going to do it in a healthy way or I’m going to cut his damn balls off since he might not want kids.

Surprisingly enough, it’s never been a conversation.

“I said I was pregnant,” I repeat, daring him to lose his entire shit because I’m already anxious about it.

Having another child wasn’t in the plan of things I wanted to accomplish. I just landed a food truck of my own and hired two girls that I’ve met in the community, taking maternity leave with no health insurance yet wasn’t my idea of fuck it and let’s do it.

Hudson inches closer, dropping his metal wrench carelessly to the ground as he erases the space between us.

“That was mean.”

“I don’t care,” he growls out. His green orbs locked and loaded on me in a way that makes my whole body buzz in excitement.

“Hudson, if you’re that upset about it?—”

“I’m not upset.”

I scowl. “Well, then say something other than glowering at me.”

He fists my shirt and gently tugs me closer to him before his fingers wrap beneath my jawline. “Tell me you’re gonna marry me then, because you’ve got me fucked up if my girl isn’t gonna wear my name and ring when she’s walkin’ around with my child.”

Fuck.

I mindlessly swallow because I wasn’t expecting that. Have I ever thought of marrying Hudson? Sure. There’s never been a doubt in my mind that I’d be happy with him. Rory would be ecstatic. Their relationship has always been strong and fierce and the man can literally do no wrong in her eyes.

I’m hoping this baby is a boy so I can have someone on my side with all this tag-teaming bullshit they do to me on purpose.

“I’m waiting,” Hudson states impatiently as his thumb gently grazes my skin. “You know I love you, Opie. Put me out of my damn misery already.”

“You’ve thought about it?”
