Hawk pressed the button on the steering wheel to disconnect the call just as he pulled into the drive in front of their home. He shoved the truck into park then leapt from the cab. In one quick motion, he had the back door open and yanked Dev into his arms. He buried his face in her throat, clasping her to him while her arms and legs wrapped round him. Mirroring him, she pressed her face into the crook of his shoulder and neck.

Cannon came up behind her and embraced them both. Loosening one arm, Hawk grasped the man to them. He kissed the top of Cannon’s head then Dev’s temple.

This was his family. These were most important two people in his life. He would do anything for them. And if someone tried to destroy this? God help them. Few people knew the rough past he’d pulled himself out of before he met Cannon. It wasn’t mafia, but the gang ties had cut deep into his skin—hell, he had it inked on his left arm. He knew what it was like to run and to start over. And even more, he knew how to fight to protect those he’d pledged his life to—and for Cannon and Dev, he’d remember and use every skill he’d tried to forget.

No one was hurting his family. No one.

Devon tipped her head back, resting it on Cannon’s shoulder while she peered at Hawk, seeing an intensity in him she’d only ever had glimpses of before now. The fierce darkness should scare her, but it didn’t. Hawk would never hurt her, and the wild look in his eyes told her he would end anyone who thought to harm her.

As if to echo the emotion, Cannon tightened his arms around them, his mouth pressing to her cheek.

Catching her chin with his hand, Hawk angled her face toward him and covered her mouth with his. Her lips naturally parted, and his tongue surged in. They both groaned, and everything low in her softened and heated, tingles exploding in her core. She sagged into him while she tasted the flavor of mint mixed with the faint tang of coffee. Every breath was filled with the musky clean scent of both hardworking men. Each wore the same spicy cologne, but they stilled smelled different from one another, neither less enticing then the other. She craved them both. Needed them. So badly.

These were her men. And right now, they held her as if they’d never let go.

When Hawk relinquished her lips, Cannon reached up and grasped her chin, turning her toward him for his turn to make a claim. Leaning forward over her shoulder, he took her mouth, plundering and learning every recess. Not finished, Hawk never loosened his hold on her, keeping her tight to him and kissing wherever he could reach.

She groaned when he pulled back the edge of her collar and sucked at the base of her throat, sending tremors through her. Sandwiched between her guys felt so right. Before coming to Daly, she never would have believed she could have a situation like this. When she’d imagined her future while growing up, it had always been just her and one other man—except in her hidden thoughts. Secretly, she’d imagined having two men wanting her. Still, she’d always believed she’d have to choose one of them.

But she didn’t. Cannon and Hawk didn’t want her to pick one of them. If she just let go of her reservations that had nothing to do with menage, she could have everything. Both her men and more love than she could handle.

She wanted that. Now. Fuck the unknown future. It was time to take what she wanted for once. Time to stop letting her stepfather win. Even if she was yanked away from her later and she lost them, she could have them now. She could be happy.

This couldn’t be wrong?

Even if they only had now.

Knowing she would finally be with Hawk and Cannon, the fire burst to life in her core, her center growing wet with her need.

“You’re ours, and we’ll do anything for you,” Hawk asserted.

“Anything. Anything but let you go. Never ask for that,” Cannon added, his lips brushing hers while he pulled back only enough to speak. He kissed a path along her jaw to her ear. “I can’t wait to taste you everywhere, to feel you squeezing around my cock. Do you want that, sweetness? Do you want to feel us both inside you, owning you, tonight? Showing you that you’re everything to us?”

Tonight? Would she survive waiting that long?

“I want that.” She nodded, her breathing uneven, each harsh exhale visible in the cold air. She wished the day were warmer, that they weren’t all decked out in their thick outdoor clothes, so she could feel them against her body. More than anything, she’d like to have them take her out here in the open, surrounded by the nature they all loved. Somehow, it seemed as if that would be perfect. And it would also be a great big fuck you to the evil element of the universe that had made her scared and kept her in hiding for almost five years.

“Think about it, about us claiming you. Imagine it all day,” Hawk whispered into her other ear. “We might not make it through dinner before you’re spread out on the bed—or the nearest surface where we can lay you out and feast on you.”

“I’ll start something in the slow cooker,” she murmured then shook her head at herself. What a silly thing to say.

“Probably a good idea, baby girl. A very good idea.”

Still vibrating a couple hours later, Devon brushed her favorite horse, Phoenix, while she talked to her. The men had their sorrels with them, and the other four horses currently boarded here had already gotten attention. Her own mare had waited patiently for Dev to get to her.

“I don’t even know what I’m doing,” she told her girl. Now that she was alone while the guys were riding the perimeter then checking the corral fences, she had space to start thinking again.

Which probably wasn’t a good thing.

“Me with two men? I like them both—more than like them—but…” She huffed out a sigh. “I’m scared. About the future. About what I’m ever doing. I don’t want to hurt them—or for them to get hurt because of me. Is this is even right? It feels right. I mean…it’s not like it’s sudden or anything, you know? But is it the right thing to do? Is it fair to them?”

Dev waited a moment as if her horse would answer then chuckled ruefully at herself for being silly.

“Right? I know. Crazy,” she said, as if the animal had answered. “It’s just…there are so many variables. They could get hurt if my stepfather’s men find me. If Cannon and Hawk try to stop them… I can’t even stand to think of that what if. Plus… What if we…have sex, and then, they don’t want me anymore. Maybe, it was all about the chase, the thrill of the unattainable. Maybe, I won’t be what they imagined. Or maybe, I should just run again before anyone gets hurt.”
