“Even though you’ll be with two men?” Cannon asked.

“How could that be a bad thing?” she said, smiling for the first time since they’d come into the house. “I lived in Daly for a couple years before I met you two, before you even thought of moving here. I know how things go. I’ve watched other groups of lovers—couple, throuples, and more. I’ve seen how they adore each other. I want that for myself, but I thought it could never happen for me. I was never interested in anyone. Then you guys came to town. It was…” She shook her head. “It was instant attraction. Since that day at Briar’s, I’ve never questioned being with you.”

Hawk leaned in a kissed her. “That’s good, baby girl. Real good.”

He was thrilled to learn she’d wanted them all along. He’d suspected, but the confirmation hit deep.

“I’m just nervous because I’m not sure it’s fair to you. Also it’s new. And that one time, when I lost my virginity while I was on the run, it doesn’t count as anything I’d call experience. Unless you call it a bad experience. I don’t… I don’t know what to do. More than in general, anyway. I want you guys to be satisfied.”

“Oh, we will be. Don’t worry about that, sweetness,” Cannon jumped in. “Just think of it like riding a horse. You’ll be a natural. You can ride me all night long.”

“Oh my God!” Devon exclaimed in amused shock while Hawk groaned at his lover. For as long as he’d known Cannon, the man had always known how to break the tension in a room, even if it was only for a moment. Except for with Cannon’s family. They were hopeless. The lot of them had sticks up their asses, and Hawk was pretty sure they wouldn’t know a sense of humor if it smacked them across their faces like a rubber chicken.

He was also sure they’d been within an inch of sending Cannon to conversion therapy, which was why he’d rescued Cannon from their clutches and convinced him to go far away from them. But those memories weren’t for tonight. His man was perfect exactly as he was, just as Dev was perfect for them, exactly as she was.

“I’m just sayin’,” Cannon defended with a shrug.

“I’m just saying you’re an idiot,” Hawk replied, shaking his head.

“An idiot you love,” Cannon shot back.

Hawk pulled in the man and pressed a kiss across his lips before leaning their foreheads together. “That was never in question. Let’s not scare away Dev, though, huh?”

“I’m not scared by what he said. But… So… Um, maybe… Can we can skip dinner for now?” Devon asked, backing toward the stairs. “Get washed up from working then meet in your bed?”

Hawk caught her before she could take off. “Our bed. After last night, I never want to sleep without you there.”

“But Cannon…”

“I need you both. I’m selfish that way. I need my man and my woman.”

“Hey,” Cannon cut in. “Our woman.”

Hawk hooked his arm around Cannon’s neck and pulled him in for another lingering kiss, enjoying the familiarity of the mouth he’d been claiming for eight years now.

When they pulled away from each other, Dev stared at them with her hands clasped together between her breasts. Watching them, she licked her plump lower lip then sank her teeth into it, before she pulled it through the clasp of her pearly whites, her pupils blown wide by her arousal.

“You guys are so hot together,” she breathed.

“Yeah?” Hawk asked. He’d always wondered what she thought about seeing the intimacy between him and Cannon. Apparently, she liked it just fine.

“Oh, yeah,” she replied. Biting into her lip again, she smiled then started racing upstairs. “I expect to see more,” she called back.

“You could shower with us,” he suggested, hollering after her.

“Uh-uh. If we do that, we’ll never make it to bed. I want to be in your bed with you. At least, the first time.”

“Fair enough,” he said almost to himself as she shut the door to the room where she kept her stuff. He wouldn’t call it her bedroom anymore. Her bedroom was the one she’d share with them.

“She wants to see more,” Cannon said as they headed up to the shower, the staircase wide enough for them to walk side by side with room to spare.

Hawk lifted a brow, grinning. “What Devon wants, Devon gets.”

“Agreed.”

Deciding it would be faster if they showered separately, too, they went their separate ways at the top of the steps. In under ten minutes, they were both in the bedroom, waiting for Dev, naked save for towels around their waists. Getting dressed seemed unnecessary. Being fully nude, though, seemed as if it could be too much too soon for her.

They’d find out in a minute. Hawk had heard the shower shut off in the other room’s en suite, so it was only a matter of time before she joined them—hopefully.
