Dread and arousal battled in Seong’s guts as he watched Thomas fail to make himself throw up. He was going to blame the stall’s increasing noise for the second part, even if he was partly lying as the thought that Thomas had no gag reflex hit him.

That was not possible. God couldn’t possibly hate Seong so much that he’d toss that into the mix as well. Thomas was barely an adult with whom clearly no one had discussed watching his drink. He was just messing it up somehow.

“Stop,” he sighed when the fingers continued to move and hadn’t accidentally hit something. At least it sounded like their audience had finished their own performance, a low purr coming out of the same voice that had offered up instructions. “Just- Let me.”

“Sorry,” Thomas whispered, his fingers dripping with his own saliva.

“It’s fine,” Seong reassured him, moving to stand slightly behind Thomas and gently pushing his hair off his forehead. Thomas’s skin was still burning hot and he leaned into Seong’s hand with a sigh. “Hold still.” He was just doing it wrong, he told himself, reaching around and letting his own fingers slip into Thomas’s mouth. That’s all it was. He was just missing- Seong felt himself pale as he pressed into the back of Thomas’s throat and tongue, the warm wetness flexing around his fingers but not giving him the needed reaction.

“Well, that’s the best-worst problem to have,” a voice said from the door way.

Seong glanced over to see a twink dressed in a red leather vest and matching pants. The front of which was still undone, not quite pulled up to his waist. Seong could see the matching colors had continued to the man’s thong where his semi had escaped at some point. “He’s still in high school,” he snapped at the man, looking away as he removed his hand from Thomas’s mouth and wiped it on his own tight pants.

“Fuck!” The twink immediately went about fixing his clothes as Thomas tried to look around Seong towards the door. “Baby shouldn’t be here.”

“I know,” Seong sighed, shaking his head and reaching down to the outline of a phone interrupting the lines of Thomas’s pants. “I’ll call his aunts and see what they want me to do. I don’t think-”

“No! Nononono!” Thomas somehow managed to get to his feet without falling headlong into the toilet and grabbed at his phone. “No, you can’t call them!”

“Thomas, stop it,” Seong told him, holding the phone out of reach as Thomas’s chest pressed into his. He was glad for the strength training the others bullied him into three times a week. All of Thomas’s weight was on him as the younger but equally sized man tried to get his phone back but he didn’t stagger as he managed to set his feet. “They aren’t going to be angry with you,” he tried to reassure him, knowing damn well he had no idea how Ceri or Jessi would react to this particular situation. He had only briefly met each of the women once and they both terrified him in their own unique ways.

“No, they’re going to be worried,” Thomas said, tears rolling down his cheeks as he looked from his phone to stare into Seong’s eyes. “I can’t worry them any more! Please. Please don’t call them. They don’t deserve that.”

Seong stared at him, wrapping his arm around Thomas’s waist to make sure he wouldn’t go down. How many times had he heard something like that before? Far too many from his own lips. He sighed slowly, conflicted about how the best way to handle this.

The man in the door hummed softly. “Oh, baby,” he murmured, coming closer as Thomas seemed to sag into Seong. “How do you know this kid?”

“I-uh- Mentor kids sometimes when they want to go into computer careers,” he said then grimaced. “Actually, ‘mentor’ is probably too strong of a word for it. I just narrow down what they want to do and point them in the right direction.” He frowned down at Thomas. “He wants to make video games.”

“Cool, cool.” He studied Seong for a moment then looked at Thomas, leaning far too comfortably into Seong’s chest. “Hey, Thomas,” he said, his voice going up in pitch so he was almost singing as he touched Thomas’s arm. “Can you tell me who this guy is?”

Thomas frowned at the man, leaning closer to Seong and away from the other man. “Seong,” he muttered, still pressing into him and- God dammit- tucked his head into Seong’s neck.

“Cool, how do you know him,” the man asked. His tone was the same, but he was giving Seong a hard look not unlike the one Seong had given the man who drugged Thomas. He continued his effort to gently pull Thomas away.

Thomas pulled away from the man again, wrapping his arms closer to his body and gripping Seong’s shirt. “He’s helping me. He and Issac— they’re the only ones who know what I did. How awful I am.”

The man gave another tug, then let go completely. He sighed. “You can’t pay me to figure out what he means by that,” he said softly to Seong, no longer giving him dirty looks. “But if you don’t mind some outside input, you should probably take him home with you.”

“With me,” Seong repeated, his hand resting on the back of Thomas’s head as the younger started to tremble. “Why with me?”

“A couple of reasons,” he said, holding out his fingers and counting them off. “He needs to be somewhere safe while he rides this out.” He tapped his next finger. “Kid’s a cuddler but won’t come to me so that means he knows you and trusts you.”

Seong thought about how easily Thomas had moved away from the man to Seong and the contrast of how he was now practically glued to Seong’s side. He pushed the thought out of his head before it could take too deep of a root.

“And after what he said about worrying his aunts, you aren’t going to call them.” He waved a hand towards Seong’s face in a circling motion. “I can see it in your face. Trust me, I’ve been there. It’s hard to argue with someone asking you that sort of favor so you’ll do it even though it doesn’t feel completely right.” He shrugged. “But you’ll know he’s safe and warm and no one will be able to take advantage of him so might as well skip the fight and have it in the morning. Trust me, arguing with the inebriated isn’t worth it. Just wait until he can think straight.”

“What makes you so sure that he’s safe with me,” Seong asked him, unsure why he’d be challenging this.

To his surprise the man smirked. “I have lived in this city my entire life,” he said, hands coming to rest on his hips as he looked Seong up and down. “I know how to spot a man of the Three Rings, even if you aren’t one of the usual ones. I also know that there is no tolerance for these sorts of things. He’s safer with you than he is with those so-called friends he came here with.”

Sighing slowly, Seong glanced down at Thomas still pressed into him. This was not how his night was supposed to go. “Would you mind helping me get us into a cab?”

Sleep it Off

“Sorry about interrupting your night, uh-”

“Ray,” the twink supplied as he pushed open the back door to let them into an alley. “Whew, fuck me, it’s cold.” His head turned and there was a smirk. “Not that it’s stopping people.”
