I decide to give it one last go.

“No. You can’t purchase a woman. It’s just not done. So I’m sorry you wasted fifty-thousand dollars but I’m not some puppet Jensen can pass around and offer to his clients – ” but before I can finish my rant, I find myself swept up in the tight embrace of Tom Costas, his powerful lips pressing against my soft ones. His lips give no quarter, his tongue teasing against the seam until I open. Then he plunges inside, making me gasp with need and want because to my complete surprise, I return the kiss with equal passion, moaning against the intense sensations racing through my body. Tom’s hand traces the length of my back in gentle strokes, and I lean into his embrace even more.

All too soon, the kiss ends. But before I can catch my breath, I find myself swept up into Gabriel’s arms.

Like his brother, Gabriel is big, strong, and powerful. His kiss is more aggressive, his brawny arms around me a little tighter. It ignites a fire inside of me that I didn’t know I had. My mouth clings longingly against his, igniting an inferno in the cold warehouse.

Gabriel breaks off the kiss, and we’re both left panting.

I stand there, staring at the Costas men and wondering what in the world I’m getting myself into. And for some reason, despite the absurdity of the circumstances, I find myself wildly attracted to them, in very different ways.

Tom’s eyes have a knowing glint while Gabriel’s are hooded with desire. I can only imagine what my face must look like, filled as I am with such crazy lust. What the hell is wrong with me? I’m a professional. A lawyer, for crying out loud, and yet I’ve just had the senses kissed out of me by two gorgeous men, and I desperately want more.

My heart thumping rapidly, I take a deep breath before I speak. Tremulously, I ask, “So what’s supposed to happen, since I’ve been sold?”

Tom nods, taking in my question.

“I see you’ve come around, which is good. We’ll send a car to your apartment tomorrow at noon. Pack what toiletries you might need for some time away.”

I’m still breathing hard from their drugging caresses.

“But what happens after that?”

Tom merely smirks. “You’ll just have to wait and find out.”

“For now, we’ll order a car to take you home. You shouldn’t be on the train this late at night,” Gabriel states authoritatively.

This makes my ears perk up.

“Now wait a second, I’ve been taking the train for a long time now. I’ve lived in the city for years!”

But the two billionaires brook no dissent.

“No, we’re getting you a car. End of discussion.” Tom picks up his phone to make the request.

I want to protest, but honestly, it’s strangely comforting that these two strangers, men I met less than an hour ago, care about me. They want me to get home safely, and are ignoring my protests.

Don’t read too much into this, Michelle, I scold myself. They’re still buying you. The Costas brothers aren’t exactly nice guys. But then, Tom speaks once more.

“The car will be here in five minutes. Are you ready, sweetheart?”

Ready for what? I want to ask. But instead, I merely nod, and the brothers guide me back to the entrance. We make our way carefully through the debris, and as before, I find myself nearly stumbling or tripping on several occasions. But the two men support me, winding a broad arm around my waist as needed, or taking my small hand in theirs to help me through particularly challenging parts.

Soon, we’ve made our way out of the dilapidated building to wait on the quiet street. Within minutes, the promised car showed up – a dark, black Mercedes with tinted windows – and the driver steps out to open the back door for me.

The two men look at me, blue eyes flashing in the darkness of the night.

“The driver will take you wherever you’d like, Michelle. The car is yours for the evening.”

With that, Tom and Gabriel each pull me in again for more drugging kisses. Stunned, I climb into the ritzy car, my mind still reeling of them. It smells like roses, and a mini bottle of chilled champagne sits in a bucket next to me.

But before we pull away, I turn around to look out the rear windshield. Tom and Gabriel are folding their long bodies into some sort of fancy sports car, their huge forms dark and ominous.

I turn back around, my mind dazed. What just happened? But then, I feel the engine roar to life, and lean back, just trying to process it all.6MichelleFor the hundredth time this morning, I glance over at my bedside clock. It’s 11:30 in the morning.

I tap my fingers anxiously against the kitchen counter as I ponder my situation. The car that is supposed to pick me up will arrive in a half an hour, and I’m sitting in my tiny studio, unsure what to do.
