“Nu.”

“No diaper? You wanna be nakey? Okay, but what if your kitty gets cold?”

“Nu diaper.”

“Well, I think you’re too Little to go without a diaper on. If you don’t pick, I’m going to pick one for you and it will probably be ugly. You don’t want an ugly diaper do you?”

She thought for a minute. “Danas.”

“Pandas are a good choice.”

“Mimmy hurt.”

Her words pulled at my heart. “Where does Emily hurt?”

She pointed to her head.

I rubbed her belly softly. “Where he hit you?”

“Yas huh.”

“Okay, baby, I’m gonna give you some medicine to help.” I opened the pack of suppositories Elliot left and put a tiny bit of lube on the tip.

“Nu! In my mouth! In my mouth,” Emily protested, spitting her pacifier out.

“Princess, this is my preferred way to give medication to Little ones. I’ll get you some liquid Tylenol if you really want it, but I’d love you to try this way for me. If you decide you want to pursue a relationship with me, this is how I will give most of your meds,” I explained as I rubbed her belly again.

She put her hands over her eyes and nodded.

I chuckled. If she needed to cover her eyes to make it more bearable, that was fine with me. Whatever it took to ease her pain. “Thank you, princess. That was a brave choice,” I praised as I lifted her ankles in one hand and pressed the Tylenol in her bottom with the other. It was small, and with a firm push, it slid in easily.

“Umph,” she grunted.

“You did so good, Little girl. I’m so proud of you,” I told her. “I’m just going to hold my finger in for a minute to make sure you don’t push it back out.” She laid there patiently until I set her legs down and wiped my hands on a wipe before getting her back in a diaper.

Once finished, I pulled her hands away from her face and kissed her nose. “See, I touched your little asshole and the world didn’t end.”

She scowled at me again. Kissing her frowny face once more, I lifted her to me before putting her pacifier in her mouth. We swayed back and forth for a few minutes until she grew limp against me. Her arms and legs clung to me the second I tried to lay her back in the crib, though.

“Nu.”

“It’s four in the morning, princess. You need to go back to sleep.”

“Wif you.”

I hesitated, not because I didn’t want her to sleep with me, but because I knew how much harder that would make it if she chose to go back to her home. Despite my concern, I wasn’t going to upset her by denying her request after all she’d been through. “You can sleep in my bed, darlin’.”

I carried her from the room and settled her under the covers in my bed. She gasped and sat up. “Nibbles!”

“Oh no! We left him. I’ll get him before he chews the crib,” I teased, sending her a wink.

She giggled. I left the room, returning moments later with her beloved bunny.

When I held him out, she grabbed him and snuggled him to her chest. It was the sweetest sight.

“How long have you had Nibbles, princess?”

“Since I was a real baby,” she answered, after spitting out her pacifier. “He was the only thing I took besides some clothes and food when we ran away. Rouge has a kangaroo.”
