“Nah, you think?” he hisses back as a book whips around the edge, almost knocking us out.

Murmur jumps in front of Lilith and places his hands on her temples. “Calm, Lilith. We will go over there and teach them what happens when they disturb what is not theirs. But first you need to calm down so you don’t hurt the children,” he yells to be heard over the noise, and then promptly cusses as he’s hit in the back by a massive tome.

Lucifer comes up next to her. “Lilith, I don’t want to sedate you. We need you. Get your shit together.”

I watch in horror as Levi breaks away from his protective spot and runs over to Lilith. He slides in between Murmur and Lucifer as Bez comes up to help shield him from the onslaught of debris flying around the room.

Levi doesn’t say anything, but his hands start to glow as they touch Lilith, and he rubs her arms. Slowly, the winds die down and the books, knicknacks, and papers fall to the ground.

“Holy shit,” I whisper in awe.

Fire erupts in the fireplace, and Lucifer throws a glare in my direction. I shrug and mouth “sorry.”

“Was that because of me?” Benny asks from my lap, and I completely forgot she was there. I release her while Zeke continues to hold Reaper so he doesn’t get hurt with the aftermath of the destruction.

“Not at all. She’s just a little… off her rocker,” I guess.

“She was never one to have a rocker,” Zeke clarifies.

Slowly standing up, I peer around the room and see it’s wrecked. Books, papers, broken glass, a painting, and pieces of wooden furniture lay scattered everywhere.

“Is everyone okay?” Astaroth asks, and we all reply with some type of yes.

“You okay now?” Levi asks Lilith. She grabs ahold of Levi’s cheeks and pulls him into a hug. “Thank you, baby. You’ve always been able to calm me down. Yes. I’m calm enough to go kill some Demons.”

That’s a scary thought.

She releases Levi, and he backs up to give them room to move.

“We’ll clean this mess up later. Or get the servants to do their job while we’re away.”

We head for the front door, Lilith leading the way, when the room shakes with a jolt. Lucifer throws another glare my way.

“Don’t look at me! I didn’t think, say, sing, or sneeze a dirty word,” I say in my defense.

He narrows his eyes again before the room shudders, toppling a bookcase, and I fall against the bar.

“Fuck!” I yell as I crack my head along the corner.

Screams ring out as we try to brace ourselves from falling and getting hurt from the remnants of Lilith’s earlier tantrum.

“What is going on?” Bez growls.

“ASTAROTH!” Zissa screams. She comes running into the parlor with wide eyes, blood dripping down from her hairline, and caked in dirt.

“What is it?” he demands, approaching his pupil.

“An uprising! I don’t know who’s behind it, but Demons are attacking,” she wheezes out.

“Impossible,” Bez grunts.

“Shit, did you get the ward fixed from yesterday?” Lynx asks.

Murmur looks at Lucifer, and you can tell the answer by the looks on their faces.

“How many are out there?” Astaroth asks as he starts pulling weapons out of thin air.

Oh, his S.I.N. box in action!
