A chill runs down my spine at the thought of who might be behind everything.

Levi starts to clean up, and it shakes me out of my musings. “Oh Levi, here,” I say, holding out my hand with his cufflinks. “This was the reason I came by. I hope you’re okay with them.”

“These are wonderful. Thank you,” Levi says and gives me a brief kiss.

“I’m glad you like them. I need to pass out the others. Want me to tell them what we found out?”

“Who else do you need to visit?” Ryker asks.

“Just Knox and Lynx.” I shrug once I get to the door.

“Yeah, you can tell them, and I’ll go tell the others before we lock down for this house cleaning.” Ryker joins me at the door. As I head toward my Shifters’ room, Ryker heads down toward JP and Zeke’s room.

I find my Shifters in their shared room and my little hero of a pup with them. My guys with piercings were easy to come up with something for them to wear. As soon as I walk in, I’m engulfed by Knox’s big arms.

“What’s the wonderful occasion, kitten?” He kisses me lightly on the forehead before letting me go.

“Well, I brought you new studs.” I place the jewelry in his hand.

“Ahh. Are these from the Demstones?” Knox asks as he looks over the nipple studs in the shape of swords.

“Yep. I hope you like them.” I smile up at him.

“I already love them. Thank you, kitten. I’ll put them on after my shower.” I look around the room and finally notice the bathroom door is closed.

“Is Lynx in the shower?” I ask, wondering if that’s why Knox was out here just waiting.

“Yeah.” He cocks his head, “But it sounds like he’s almost done, so it’s about to be my turn.”

“Correction, it is your turn,” Lynx says, smiling at us from the now open doorway.

“Well, that’s me, kitten.” Knox leans down and gives me a sweet kiss.

“Wait, before you hop in the shower, I need to tell you both what Levi found out.”

“What do you mean?” Lynx walks over and leans against the bed.

“Levi performed the magical Imprint, and it was Capt. Brooks who wrote that note.”

“Fuck!” Knox says under his breath, but of course we still hear him. “I knew he was up to something.” He shakes his head. “Well, there’s nothing we can do about it now. I’m going to take a shower. Thank you for telling me.” He kisses me on the head before walking into the bathroom and leaving me with Lynx.

Lynx was the easiest yet strangely the most frustrating to make something for because he doesn't know me. Yet, I know him and how he doesn’t have piercings or tattoos. He doesn’t like to wear anything too binding, so how do I make him something that he doesn’t know he likes?

“Here,” I say nervously as I turn to face my best friend. I hand Lynx the Demstone weaved through some twine I found in Lilith’s shop. “I’ve made it so you can shift into whatever you want and it will adjust to you.”

He sits down on the floor and Reaper runs over and starts licking his face, so I pull my puppers onto my lap as Lynx ties the bracelet around his ankle.

“Thank you, Rez. I appreciate it.” He gives me a smile. “I’m sure there’s a reason behind it I don’t know, though.”

I chuckle as I dig my fingers into Reaper’s flame, warming my fingertips. “Yeah, you don’t like clothes, and when we were around twelve, we made each other friendship bracelets,” I tell him. “But we grew out of them, and then, well, you’ve just been stuck in your lynx form.” It almost feels like talking to a complete stranger. I look up and find him with a small wrinkle of concern on his face for a brief moment before he smiles at me.

“Well, hopefully in a few days, I’ll have my memory back,” he tells me as he rests his hands on his propped up knee.

“Oh, that reminds me! We should be able to do your memory spell tomorrow. I’m not invited to Levi’s ceremony, so we can stay behind and do it—that is—if you want,” I say hesitantly, letting Reaper up.

“Can’t wait to remember what I’ve forgotten,” he says and helps me up. “You did a great job today. Wanna take a nap and cuddle?” My heart stops as the words leave his mouth. I’ve missed cuddling with my Lynx, and I want to more than anything, but not like this. Not without his memory, and besides, I still reek.

“Raincheck? I need to shower.” I sigh and he smirks.
