“Yes. Hollis and I are actually the second set of twins.”
Once we were inside, I shut the door and stood facing it for a moment, trying to get control of myself so I didn’t grab her and take her straight to bed.
“What about you?” Her voice trembled a little, and I immediately turned around, concerned at what had frightened her. But she didn’t look scared. She appeared nervous and excited as she switched her weight from foot to foot.
“I have an older sister. We’re eight years apart, so she sometimes thinks she’s my mother. And a brother who is two years younger than me.” I smiled, thinking about how Amy would react when she found out about Brie. She’d be over the fucking moon, and I’d finally get peace from her badgering. “I’m actually closer to my nephew…” I suddenly remembered my dinner plans. There was no way in hell that I would be ready to leave this room before I had to go to Gabe’s bachelor party tomorrow night. “Shit. I need to make a call.”
Brie’s brow went up, but she just nodded and moved toward the couch. I almost forgot about Gabe again because I was mesmerized by the sway of Brielle’s full hips and round ass. With her figure, blond hair, and blue eyes, I had a feeling she wasoften compared to Marilyn Monroe.Sorry, Norma Jean, you can’t hold a candle to my Brie.
“You said you have to make a call?” Brie’s question broke me out of my lustful trance, and I shook my head to clear it.
“Right.”
I brought up Gabe’s number and hit call before raising my phone to my ear. Brie glanced around, then back at me. “Do you want some privacy?”
I frowned. “Why?” I didn’t have anything to hide from her. Before she could answer, Gabe picked up.
“What’s up?”
“I have to cancel tonight. I…made other plans.”
Gabe was silent, then he laughed. “No way.”
“Pardon?”
“You met someone!” he crowed.
“How the fuck do you know that?” I growled.
“When I asked you to be a groomsman, and you had to turn me down because of work commitments, I could tell you felt like complete shit. No way would you cancel on me and Avery unless it was for a woman.”
I chuckled because he wasn’t wrong. “Just don’t tell your mom,” I said firmly. “I don’t need her banging on my door and demanding to know when the wedding is.”
“I’ll take your request under consideration,” he teased. “See you Tuesday for the bachelor party?”
“Of course,” I confirmed.
“Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.”
I rolled my eyes and hung up.
After turning off my phone, I set it on one of the end tables and turned my attention to the goddess who had quickly become the center of my universe.
Brie watched me with an expression that seemed hesitant but also intrigued. The chemistry between us crackled again, and Idebated whether to give in or get a grip on myself and do the dinner thing first.
Ultimately, I decided to feed Brie before claiming her. She would need her energy for all the things I had planned for later.

After ordering our meal, I joined Brie on the couch and immediately pulled her onto my lap to straddle me. My hands slipped under her shirt to rest on her hips, and when my fingers touched her bare skin, I would’ve sworn sparks erupted.
Brie placed her hands on my shoulders, and I was about to lean in and finally find out if I’d been right about her taste, but she stopped me with a question.
“Wedding?”
I sighed. “My sister has made it her mission in life to see me married and settled. When she finds out about you, she’ll get nosy and try to meddle. I don’t want any interruptions to my time with you.”
