What the fuck?

I’m losing my damn mind.

Near panic attacks and now some Captain America, “protect my woman from all harm” bullshit?

My woman?

Yep. It’s official, I’ve lost my mind.

“Uh…” I shove my hands in my pockets, giving her a gentle smile. “You okay?”

She sniffs and looks back down the stairwell. “I hope you don’t mind that I let myself in. I knocked but no one came. Then I heard music, so I tried the handle, and…” She lets out a breath. “I… I hope it’s okay.”

“Of course it’s okay.” I snatch her hand and drag her up the stairs, then down the hallway toward my room.

She can sit on my bed while I clean. She can listen to glam rock with me. She can keep me company and make me feel better.

The thought trips me up like all the other ones I’ve been having this afternoon.

Caroline makes me feel better. And she doesn’t even have to be naked to do it.

Although… naked sounds good.

And way more fun than tidying my room.

It might be a good distraction for her too. She’s obviously upset about something. What better way to help someone get over their angst than by giving them an orgasm?

My mind starts running with the ways I can make her come.

“What’s that smell?” Caroline faces bunches, and she pinches her nose as we walk past the bathroom.

I point at the door with a grin. “Just been in there.”

“That’s…” She blinks and looks like she’s about to gag. “That’s eye-watering.”

Laughter punches out of me. I’m used to people hassling me about my smelly shits. I’ve decided to own it and be proud. Clicking my bedroom door shut, I throw my clothes off the bed and onto the floor so she can take a seat.

“I can still smell it. I… I seriously? Did your butt like explode or something?”

I shrug, pointing to the bed, but she doesn’t move. She seems frozen by the door, like maybe she wants to flee back out of the house. After a soft sigh, I admit, “I do smelly dumps. That’s part of who I am, okay?” My face buckles at her expression. “What? Is that like a deal-breaker? You won’t have sex with me anymore?”

The weight of this disappointment is surprising. Wow. I must really like having sex with her, because the thought of never doing it again kinda kills me.

The thought of never hanging out with her again kills me.

And there go the punchy breaths. I try to hide it by holding my breath, and my stomach does this weird spasm while I wait for her answer.

“N… no. No.” She shakes her head, and then her right eyebrow arches as she looks me over. “I’m just struggling to understand how something like that can come out of something like you.” Her lips twitch with a grin. “What are you putting into that perfect body of yours?”

My relief at her response is too big, but I don’t want to dwell on that right now. I just want to look at her pretty face and picture myself kissing it, then nibbling her neck and?—

“I’m more interested in what I’m putting into this gorgeous body of yours.” I close the space between us, cinching her around the waist and kissing her lips before trailing a path down to her neck.

“Are you seriously trying to seduce me with that blinding stench just down the hall?”

With a huff, I step back and give her a dry look before throwing her over my shoulder.

She yelps but then starts to giggle as I run past the bathroom and take her all the way into the kitchen. Rachel was here this morning making muffins, so the place still smells like bananas and chocolate chips.
