“Of course, what do you need?” Bastian straightened up. Even Desmond’s expression changed to something more serious. Damian never asked them for favors. Yes, he was technically only asking Bastian, but everyone knew that asking Bastian was the same as asking both of them.

He glanced at Emily before updating them on the situation with her father. Yes, she’d filed the police report, but sometimes, it took someone behind the scenes to really get things moving. Hearing that her own father had burned up her trailer had both Bastian and Desmond scowling.

Desmond didn’t even give him shit about needing a favor.

“We’ll find out what’s going on with the investigation,” he promised before Bastian could, looking over at Emily. “And we’ll find him.”

“Thank you.” She looked down at her hands. “I feel like a bad daughter, but…”

“He was a shit father first,” Damian said, walking back around the desk to crouch down in front of her and take her hands in his. He gentled his tone. “He doesn’t deserve your protection, much less deserve you as a daughter. He’s lucky to have had you, and it’s his loss that he doesn’t know that.”

She managed a tremulous smile for him. “Thanks, Daddy.”

His heart swelled in his chest.

“And on that note,” Desmond said behind him. “Let’s give these two some privacy to talk while we go question some of the members. There are a few down on the floor who are on the site. We can start with them.”

Sometimes, Damian hated how well Desmond knew him even though he was also grateful for it.

His brothers and Bastian gave Emily either a nod or a smile on their way past as Damian got to his feet, crossing his arms over his chest and staring down at her. She scrunched into the chair as if she was trying to make herself smaller.

“Little girl, you are in big trouble.”

Learning Her Lesson

Emily

“I didn’t do anything!” Her butt automatically clenched around the plug in her bottom. She said the words, but she’d known she was in trouble from the moment she whispered her story about finding the auction in Daddy’s ear. He didn’t like that she’d gone to get a job at a strip club.

But it wasn’t like she’d known he had money back then!

Not that she’d asked.

If she’d told Katrina how badly things were going for her, her friend would have been able to tell her. Then she wouldn’t have gone to the strip club and found out about the auction and sold her virginity to Daddy. As Daddy raised his eyebrow at her, she switched gears. “We wouldn’t be together if I hadn’t.”

“Not a good enough reason to put yourself in danger. You don’t know what would have happened if you hadn’t. If you’d told Katrina or your mom the truth, both of them would have told you to come to me for help. Katrina might have wanted to do it herself, but she would have asked me, which means I would have known about it, eventually. We might have ended up here without you having to put yourself through all of that.”

Well… well… poop.

She couldn’t think of a good counterargument.

“I already learned my lesson the last time you spanked me,” she said earnestly, pressing her thighs together.

For some reason, trying to get out of her punishment, knowing it was coming anyway, was turning her on. In fact, she’d be disappointed if Daddy didn’t spank her at this point. Even though he was scowling, she could tell he wasn’t truly angry-angry. He wasn’t happy, but he wouldn’t be too harsh, either.

And she wanted the spanking.

She craved the release.

She was all wound up inside with everything that had happened in the past few days, and it would feel so good to let it all out.

“Let’s make sure of it. Stand up, Sunshine.” He held out his hand for her to take.

Emily huffed but didn’t argue. She didn’t want to give him a real reason to spank her, after all. Taking his hand, she got to her feet, clenching around the plug as she did so.

Daddy guided her over to the desk and pushed some of the papers to the side, clearing a space for her right on the edge.
