“I was going to suggest the same thing; she doesn’t need to be here where so much chaos has happened.”

I scoot closer until I’m lying on his chest, feeling better. “You have been so blessed with such an amazing mother.”

“You will be an amazing mother.”

Hearing him say that meant more to me than anything else he could say at this moment. “That’s the dream.”

“I knew I wanted a family, but seeing my brothers with their families over the years has made me want it even all the more.”

In my mind I picture Terror playing with all of the kids and how natural he would be with them all.

“You will get to meet them tonight.”

“I can’t wait.”

I have looked myself over and over to make sure that I was dressed nicely. Terror is out on the deck putting the food on, and I have moved the bowls and platters ten times to make sure it looks nice.

I have met some of the guys already but meeting the girls is a much bigger deal in my opinion.

Plus, all of their kids.

I made all kinds of little desserts for them; chocolate chip cookies, cupcakes, along with some juices.

I have wine for the ladies if they want to drink. My insides are shaking from the nerves, and I’ve been looking out of the window every 30 seconds to see if anyone is coming.

And from the looks that Terror keeps throwing my way, he finds my antics amusing. He’s made enough food for an army.

I hear them before I see them.

One by one, trucks make their way from the direction of the clubhouse. I run to the glass door that goes out to the deck and knock, pointing in the direction of the trucks.

Terror is flat out laughing at me this time. Do I just stand here and wait for them to come inside? Do I go out to greet them?

Terror sets the platter of hamburger patties on the side table, opens the door and takes my hand. “My girl, breathe.”

I nod and try to calm my nerves. One by one, the men get out first, helping their women and then the kids.

Just like Terror does with me.

Terror opens the door, holding it open for them. Gage is first up the steps, he is holding a little girl and the woman next to him is holding a small baby.

He has the chubbiest cheeks in the world, and my hands ache to hold him. River smiles at me. “It’s nice to meet the girl who has taken down our Terror.”

I laugh. “You mean the one taken me down? I never stood a chance.”

She looks at Gage, who has a knowing smirk. “Trust me, every single ole lady in this club knows exactly what you’re talking about. They don’t give you a second to think about it or change your mind.”

They step inside the house and Gage sets his daughter down onto the floor where I had some little toys set out for them to play with.

Next in the door is Reaper. It’s hard to keep their names straight but it’s helpful that their names are on their cuts.

He is holding a little girl, and she has the cutest little pigtails and her dad’s eyes. The woman next to him is very much pregnant, rubbing the top of her stomach.

What an amazing feeling that must be to have something growing inside of you, where they are warm, protected, and safe.

“My name is Julia, this little girl is Josie,” she introduces herself. She is the exact opposite of her man. She is the light to his dark.

They walk in and Reaper sets the little girl on the floor next to River and Gage’s, “Skywar.” They hug and I almost pass out from how sweet that was.
