In the month I’ve known them they’ve changed. I see the biggest change in Donavan who is stuck to Royal’s side, they’re like two peas in a pod.

I was hoping this would happen when I introduced them. I wave over to Penny when she looks over to us driving slowly across the road to our home.

Terror runs across the front of the truck, helping me out and then the girls. I’m thankful there are a ton of car seats lying around for times like this.

“I think it’s snack time,” I tell them and they giggle. “Mak and feese?” Skylar asks, not correctly saying the words and it’s adorable.

Terror carries them inside the house and places them on the floor where I keep a small basket of toys in the corner for when they come over.

“Your mommies are going to have a baby.” I pick up a small doll and show it to them. “Just like this baby here.”

They take the baby and bang its head on the coffee table, my eyes widen and I burst into laughter. “Let’s hope you don’t bang the baby’s head on the table.”

Terror laughs and sits down beside me on the floor. “You have to be careful with the baby.” Josie takes the baby from Skylar and holds the baby to her chest, rocking violently.

I cover my mouth to hide my reaction and Terror full out laughs. “I will get some lunch for these girls.” I rub the top of their heads and walk into the kitchen to prepare their food.

I can’t fight the urge to peek in on them. The little girls have Terror holding the baby and are trying to teach him the correct way to hold it, but it’s totally backwards and he just follows along.

I take the moment to wrap my head around the fact that I’m pregnant, I’m going to be a mother.

I have thought about this day so many times and it’s happening. I need to find an OBGYN and get everything sorted, to get the baby checked out.

My whole body feels like a live wire. I’m ready to jump out of my skin with happiness.

Marie is going to die.

When do we tell her? Or do we wait until after the first trimester? I just don’t think that I can wait to tell her.

I make their plates and grab a couple of booster seats that we got for when we babysit because those small little tables are not made for us adults.

I set them in their seats and make sure they’re buckled tightly. “Food is ready for the girls.” I made sure all the food is easy for them to use their hands to pick it up. They like to feed themselves and I learned that the hard way when a fork went flying and hit me in the forehead; thankfully it was a plastic one.

Skylar’s hair has become a mess. I try to fix it the best as I can. “Should we take a picture for your mommies and daddies?”

I know I would love to see them and make sure they were okay. I take a quick picture, sending it to them and both Gage and Reaper reply back to me, thanking me.

I made Terror and I a sandwich, and bring our plates over from the counter, sitting down.

“I think I need to ask the girls who their OBGYN is so I can get in to be seen,” I tell him, and he nods. “I was thinking of asking the guys who the girls see.”

I lean my head on his shoulder taking in the moment of silence as the girls are eating. “I’m pregnant, Terror,” I repeat once again. It’s starting to sink in.

He kisses the top of my head then rests his cheek on me. “Your mom is going to freak out.”

He chuckles. “I think that is an understatement.”

Josie throws her sippy cup, and it sails past Terror’s head. “Holy shit! I think they need to put her in softball.” I laugh and he leans over to pick the cup up.

I think they could both knock us out and I would still think it’s the cutest because they’re adorable.

But I have a feeling it’s going to be the best, but hardest night of our lives.

We finally managed to get the girls to bed but way past their normal bedtime. I can tell they’re missing their parents, but almost ten small children’s books later by Terror and I, they’re both finally out.

We put them in bed together, and set the mattress on the floor because I was scared they’d roll off and get hurt.

Naomi let us borrow her baby monitor because I know I couldn’t sleep unless I was sure they weren’t going to wander off.
