It’s been hours since they disappeared inside. I’ve been trying to wrap my head around what happened today.

Someone tried to hurt me in the worst way imaginable. Then, Seth was trying to break into the gate, but the guys showed up and took him out before he could cause any real harm.

“We all have had trouble when we first found our men. In a way, I think it was because we needed them.” Daniella takes my hand, standing next to me, watching together.

“Sometimes when I first wake up, it’s hard for me to believe that this is my life. I was so alone for a huge part of my life.”

“You will never be alone again.”

I whip around and see Terror standing in the side entrance to the house by the kitchen. I run to him, and he picks me up, my legs band around him, holding him as tight as I can.

“Are you hurt?” I ask him, cupping his face between my hands, making sure he doesn’t have a single mark on his face.

He kisses me deeply. “No, baby.” His lips move from my lips to my cheeks, and then my forehead.

“We are going to head out, give you guys some time,” Nicole tells me. I turn around to look at them slightly. “Thank you so much for staying with me today.”

Terror carries me up the stairs into our bedroom then into the bathroom and sets me on the counter before he stands back to look at me.

No words are spoken. I just watch him.

He strips me out of my clothes, leaving me completely naked before him. His hands run up and down my arms like he is making sure that I’m here.

I have a million questions I want to ask him but at the moment, I can’t say a single one.

He steps back from me, his hands falling to his sides, and he walks into the bedroom, leaving me alone.

My thoughts run wild wondering if he’s upset with me? Did something happen that he won’t be able to get over?

I try not to panic but before I can fall into the feeling, he comes back with a box, a large white box. He sets it on the counter beside me, opening it.

He’s still not speaking as he pulls open the top on the box, and I cover my mouth at the sight of the cut.

Property of Terror.

“Terror, this is...” He lifts the cut out of the box, and I run my hand along the patches. “Are you sure?”

He chuckles deeply and pulls the cut behind me. He slides my arms through the holes and I’m completely naked besides the cut.

He steps back, biting the back of his hand. “Fuck, I have dreamt about seeing you like this.”

I look down at the cut, running my hands down the buttery soft leather. “I have dreamt of this myself.” I wanted to be able to ride on the back of his bike with his cut on my back knowing that everyone knows that I belong to him.

“But there is one thing missing,” he says and opens the bottom drawer, opening a box of razors. I need a shave?

He pulls out a small velvet black box. I stop breathing and try not to jump to conclusions.

He pulls open the top, and right there in the box is a ring with a huge pink diamond in the center with a small smattering of diamonds around the large one, the band is a light gold.

This is beautiful.

He smiles at my expression; I feel like I’m dying from the anticipation. “I have had this for a while, trying to think of the best possible way to ask you.”

He stands between my legs, pulling me closer to the edge so we are flush against each other. “But after what happened today, I don’t want to wait a second longer. You are perfect and any moment with you is beyond my wildest dreams.”

My lips are trembling, and my tears are unstoppable as they roll down my cheeks. He lifts my left hand and slowly slips the ring down my finger. It’s a perfect fit.

“You never asked me,” I point out when the thought hits me.
