He sends me an expectant look.
“When I get dressed,” I say with a sigh. “I go right to left.”
He blinks at me. “What?”
“Right to left,” I repeat.
“Yeah, no, I heard you. I just don’t understand what the fuck you mean by right to left.”
“I mean, when I put my shin pads on, I put the right one on before the left. Elbow pads, same thing. Also socks, gloves, skates—everything.”
I expect him to laugh, but he just grins.
“You’re kind of adorable.”
“Not the word I’d use,” I say.
“Like a little puppy,” he says, grin widening.
“If this is some sort of kink, I have to tell you, I don’t think I’m into that one.”
“Now you tell me.” He pulls out his phone. “Give me a sec. I have to cancel that butt plug tail I ordered.”
I don’t know exactly what it is he sees on my face, but whatever it is, it makes him raise his brows. “Unless you want me to order you a butt plug tail?”
I can feel my whole face flush.
“It’s not the tail part I found… interesting,” I mumble.
He sends me a long, heated look.
“I’ll make a note of that,” he says after a few seconds of loaded silence have ticked by.
“You do that.”
I hold his gaze for a moment longer before I have to look at the road again.
“Stop grinning like a lunatic,” I mutter.
He holds both hands up in the air and laughs. “It’s not my fault I find the idea of you with a butt plug hot.”
I grimace and adjust myself. If he keeps talking, my dick is going to get in the way of me turning the steering wheel.
“I was thinking,” I say, desperate for a change of topic. “I’m going out with the guys next Saturday. You should come.”
He’s silent for so long I have to look away from the road and take a glance at him. He’s staring at me, mouth open.
“You want me to come party with you and your friends?” he asks.
