I don’t even remember what I requested from them. All I can feel, all I know, is Sonia’s lips on mine, unwilling to let me breathe or break away.
When she pulls away, her hands still press to my cheeks. She grins. “You tricked me.”
“I had to. It had to be a surprise.”
She smiles, then her lips caress my cheek. “You are the best man I have ever known.”
My heart flutters. “Working on it.”
“No, Edwin, listen to me.” Her amber eyes harden in mine. “Not many men can learn to love the way you have. Not many men are willing to admit they’ve neglected loving in their life. You are…so special.”
I can’t help but smile. “Oh. Well.”
“And I love you. And want you to take me downstairs and do absolutely depraved things to me.”
My dick leaps to attention. “Oh, that can be arranged.”
“Alright, masks back on!” Abigail announces as our friends and family crowd around. “Moment’s over. Time to dance!”
“Fine, fine. You win.”
Sonia and I exchange a knowing smile before putting on our disguises again.
For now, we celebrate with our friends and family, but when the time comes, we will escape to our underground haven where I’ll take care of her until the early morning hours.
As we dance, and laugh, my eyes are on her, and with my ring on her finger, I know.
