Nate moves first, kissing the top of my head, whispering my name.

Then Mason leaves me in such a careful way that the initial sting of his entry feels eons in the past. His emptiness strikes a chord inside me.

I need to touch him. Need to feel him. But I don’t want to leave Nate, either. God, is this what it will be like? Always overstimulated, deciding who I need or want? He takes a spot on the other side of me, tugs on my shoulder.

Breathe, Laney. You don’t have to choose.

Idon’thave to choose. I can have them both.

“Lay with us,” Mason murmurs.

Nate agrees with the movement of his body, retracting his hips from mine. Now, I am again only Laney. We are not attached, physically.

However, those threads that felt so easy to snap before now are thick and unbreakable.

I sink into the spot between them on the bed, turning over to wrap myself around Mason, give him the attention Nate has been getting from being face to face with me.

Nate does not bristle at my leaving. He follows, spooning me from behind and nestling his face against the back of my neck.

Mason smiles at me. “How do you feel?”

His heart throbs against my ear. Each beat a microscopic moment slower than the last.

I reach around to run my fingers through Nate’s hair. Shorter than it used to be. Just as lovely and soft. Reminiscent of his surfer days.

I am determined to get him back on that board as soon as possible, though. That’s a promise.

I inhale.

It is a sweet, sticky scent. All of us blending into something new and undiscovered. Until now. Now that I’ve let go, who knows what I will discover? “I feel…so good.”

Nate kisses the side of my face. Pulls me tighter.

“Hey, man, you gotta share,” Mason needles.

We all laugh.

I wrap one arm around Mason’s waist to keep myself there, and Nate follows. I am sandwiched between them.

And this is how I’d like it to be forever.

Drunk on pleasure, I mutter, “I could fall asleep here.”

“Well, you can, Lanes,” Nate says. “This is your home.”

I glance between the two of them with what little energy I have left. “How’d I get so lucky?”

“Not luck,” Mason replies. “All you.”

Nate nuzzles my ear. “You’re perfect, Laney.”

Not a hundred percent perfect and not all the time. But I’ll take it. “Perfect for both of you.”

They are both quiet for a moment.

Mason lifts his fist and grins. “We did it, man.”

Nate gives him a fist bump, and I descend into a fit of giggles heightened in the wake of pleasure. “You two are ridiculous.”
