The little whimper noises she made as I fucked her drove me into a frenzy, and I shifted to a faster pace. Within seconds, she was moaning in ecstasy, crying out just enough that I kissed her again to stifle it. It tipped me over the edge, and I thrust into her deep, letting my own groans of pleasure be muffled by our kisses.

We stilled, her body still tight between me and the wall as we came back down again. Both of us were panting, and her hair was disheveled.

“You are amazing,” I said as I gently lowered her to the ground again.

Before she could respond in any way, I’d bent to retrieve her pants and lift them back up her body. She helped me, and then I did the same for me, tucking my shirt in. By the time we were decent again, we had both calmed down, and I reached up and helped straighten her hair where it had been tousled.

I took a good look at her, pretty sure any discerning person would be able to tell she had just been screwed, but otherwise, she would be fine.

Neither of us said a word as I took her hand again and led her back out of the restroom. I paused briefly at the door to make sure the coast was clear before heading back to the restaurant. We were most of the way to the table when our waitress spotted us. She gave me a knowing look.

For a moment, I thought she might object. Like most women who knew who I was, she had been flirtatious with me, but she didn’t say anything, only went to get a large box and brought it over to the table for us.

“So you can take the rest home,” she said, her gaze flicking between the two of us. Kit blushed and looked away, only confirming that something had happened.

“Can we get the bill as well, please?” I asked, drawing the attention back to me so she wasn’t embarrassed any longer than necessary.

As soon as we had the rest of the desserts in a box and I had settled the bill, I planned on doing exactly as suggested, taking them, and Kit, home.

CHAPTER FORTY

Kit

I didn’t know how we were going to leave, but Lukas seemed confident. He pulled out his phone a few times as we waited for the bill but soon put it away again.

While I tried to calm my body down, for more reasons than one, I gently shifted the desserts from the large platter to the box. I wasn’t sure they were going to fit.

“We should eat a few more of them,” Lukas said as if he was noticing the same problem. “Go ahead. They’ll only go to waste otherwise.”

He picked out a small fruit pie and bit into it, and I chose another of the more delicate-looking desserts I had started with. It was messy but tasty, and I used both hands to try and eat it this time.

Thankfully, Lukas didn’t try to feed me again, and we kept the fireworks to a minimum until we’d packed up everything and paid. Despite the lack of vehicle, Lukas got up and lifted the box.

“Come on, let’s go somewhere we can talk more,” he said, walking off before I could point out the lack of a car. I had no choice but to follow, to find out how he planned to go anywhere.

I avoided looking at our waitress again. Lukas had tipped her well, and she had smiled at him as if she’d hoped he would come back and take her to the restrooms sometime, too. It made me wonder how many women fawned over men like Lukas just because he was rich.

No sooner had we reached the door than a sleek black car pulled up near the door and paused. A chauffeur got out, nodded to Lukas, and opened one of the back doors for him.

As Lukas approached, the man held out his hand. “Shall I take that for you, sir?”

“That would be very helpful, thank you, Edward. We’re heading back to my apartment, please.”

I noticed I wasn’t asked if that was where I wanted to go and frowned. Despite my annoyance, I followed Lukas into the car. There was no other way for me to leave here, and I wanted to see what Lukas was thinking.

The back of the car was finished in a smooth black leather and was similar to the car Juno had picked me up from the airport in the first time I had flown to the US It was clearly a similar sort of deal, Lukas giving the driver a few more instructions before he settled back with me.

He put an arm around me as soon as we were alone. A few seconds later, the driver started the engine and pulled off with us in the back.

“Did you have this arranged beforehand at a specific time?” I asked, wondering if he had screwed me in the restroom because he had time to kill.

“No. I called for it when it was clear we would be the only ones left, and I would need a way home. Henry will be enjoying my car, no doubt.”

“But you let him leave with it,” I replied, not sure why he sounded so irritated by this. There was soon a smile on his face, and I realized that he had been mock-annoyed. It seemed he was fine with Henry taking his car.

Lukas shifted so he could see me better. “There aren’t many perks to being someone’s PA. Henry getting to borrow my cars is a way to thank him in a language he appreciates.”

It was yet another sign that I was sitting beside a good man. Someone who thought of others, wasn’t so precious over his belongings or the behavior of those around him that he had to be in control all the time, yet he was still clearly in charge. When he wanted something to happen, it happened.
