Princess: I’m in Nebraska.

Luke: I know. They invented the Reuben.

Princess: Hold, please.

Princess: Okay, I just looked that up. Why do you know that?

Luke: Why don’t you know that?

Princess: I can’t believe you kept your cup!

Luke: What cup?

Princess: The slushie cup from Vegas.

Luke: Oh, you mean my half of our wedding glasses? Of course I kept it.

Luke: Don’t tell me you threw yours away.

Princess: There were times I thought about it. But I didn’t.

Luke: Good.

Princess: Are these my sunglasses?

Luke: The white ones?

Princess: Yeah.

Luke: You really are snooping through every cupboard.

Princess: I thought I lost these in Mexico.

Luke: Funny, I found them in Mexico.

Luke: You still want me to meet you at the thing tomorrow night?

Princess: If you don’t mind. My dad is for sure going to be there, and we can’t put off seeing him forever. Public event might be better than a private dinner.

Luke: Agreed. What’s the dress code?

Princess: Black and white. I’m wearing white.

Luke: Classy.

Luke: I might be just a little late, but I’ll find you.

Princess: Thank you. I owe you for this one.

Luke: Let me take a pic of you in the suit and we’re even.

Chapter 103

Natalie

Wealth and celebritytend to go hand in hand, so even though I’m the furthest thing from a celebrity, and I dislike being in the spotlight, I take a deep breath to prepare myself for it anyway.

I wish Luke was here.
