Shit. Shit. Shit.

He was going to rat me out to Lucian. Then I’d never hear the end of it, and by morning, I wouldn’t doubt Lucian or Leo would have guards posted outside my door as if I were a criminal.

I could wait Clark out in one of the waiting rooms I passed. Yeah, that’s what I’d do.

Pivoting, I motioned to go in the direction I came but stopped as soon as I heard.

“Don’t even think about it. I saw you.” I wasn’t sure if Damon sounded amused or annoyed.

Wincing, I stayed in my spot.

“Sophia, come in here,” Damon ordered.

There went my plans of escape. I wasn’t getting out of seeing him.

With my shoulders back, I walked in as if I hadn’t a care in the world.

“Hi Clark, how’s it going?”

He gave me a lift of the brow with a smirk. “I didn’t die in a fire today, so I’d say well. Though I may be out of a job.”

“I could always use you as a model in my upcoming fashion show.”

Creating a few pieces specifically for men wasn’t such a bad idea. I’d have to think more about it since I was under a time constraint with only a little over two months until Fashion Week. Maybe, if I worked fast, I could come up with a piece or two.

“I’ll pass, but thank you.” He shook his head and then shot Damon a look over my head.

“The offer is always open.”

“Sophia,” Damon said my name in a way that had a shiver sliding down my spine.

My eyes connected with his as that familiar energy surged between us. “Yes.”

“Don’t flirt with another Dom in my presence.”

The hum of arousal fizzled out.

“Are you serious?” I scrunched my nose. “He’s like a brother to me. And he’s Lucian’s friend. Nope. Not happening.”

The humor on Clark’s face told me he wasn’t offended by my response. “I concur. Besides, you’re too much trouble.”

“See—nothing to worry about. I’m not interested in Lucian’s friends pool,” I said, turning back to Damon.

His green irises locked with mine, and the tingle of need kindled back to life. “I’m in Lucian’s friends pool, and it happened with us.”

I hadn’t known he was Lucian’s anything when I’d set eyes on him. The only thing on my mind at the time was no other man drew me as Damon had, and if I didn’t take a chance, I never would.

“It did.” I licked my lips. “However, we know our introduction happened on a more organic level.”

“That’s an interesting way to put it.” Clark chuckled. “I’m going to leave you to your submissive, Pierce.”

Damon nodded, “We’ll talk again soon.”

Clark walked over to me, took my hand in his, and kissed the top of it. “I’ll keep this among the three of us, Sophia. I’m sure you’re in enough trouble already.”

“Thanks, I think.”

He shot me a grin and then walked out the door, closing it behind him.
