As he thrusts deeper inside me, our hips slap together with a wet smack that echoes through the room; It's addictive, this primal music only we can hear. The friction between us is overwhelming - our bodies writhing together like two dancers lost in an erotic trance.

Every time he finds my mouth in a searing kiss, I can feel the heat emanating from his lips, tasting the sweetness of our shared passion on his tongue as we exchange moans and gasps.

He kisses me again and again as his fingers move lower down my stomach to find their target - that spot that ignites fireworks inside me with just a brush of his touch. I cry out into his mouth, my voice muffled by his lips as he sucks gently on mine.

And then it hits me—a second orgasm crashes through me harder than the first one did, shaking my entire body as he thrusts harder into me in response. His growl vibrates against my skin sending shivers down my spine, pleasure radiating from every nerve ending as he releases inside me; hot, thick cum seeping deep into my core.

It feels amazing; better than anything else ever could. Our bodies tremble together, connected by more than just physical contact now: hearts beating in unison as our love making comes to a close.

CHAPTER 28

GARET

Life has a way of getting between you and your dreams.

Tania’s words from dinner keep echoing in my mind. As content as she is now to take care of Armani and plan the mating ceremony, she wants to be so much more than a mate and mother. I see the way she absently sketches clothing designs and how her hands always need to be occupied, either with the baby or with fibrecrafts.

She deserves to follow her dreams.

So, while she’s busy with the baby, I tell her a little fib. I say my CO wants me in for a meeting because something just came up, but instead make my way to the studio of Sathior Havani.

Alice is waiting outside the building, scrolling through her comms. She looks up as I approach and smiles. “You’re plotting something.”

I grin. “I have no idea what you mean.”

“Liar.” She nods to a side street. “Come on. There’s a quiet little place down that alley and you’re buying me dinner.”

“Why would I do that?”

“Because you need me, and I’m hungry. Much too hungry to be able to think. Did you know that we’re only allowed a twenty-minute lunch break?”

“Sathior Havani sounds like a nightmare,” I say, easily keeping pace with her. We duck into a small restaurant, one largely hidden by the shadowy alley.

Calling this place a dive would be too much of a compliment. Even though obvious efforts had been made to keep it clean, it had that eternal thin layer of grime found in old buildings. It’s the kind of restaurant where every meal seems to come with a side of food poisoning.

“Petra, we’re here!” Alice calls out.

“Be out in a second,” replies a feminine voice from the kitchen. A few minutes later, a human woman emerges from the back. Although she looks tired, she gives a warm smile.

Alice hugs her friend. “How are you doing? Where’s Chris?”

Petra steps back. “He’s meeting with a potential investor. We’re almost ready to set up the new location. Riley’s with his grandma.”

Vaguely, I remember Tania saying that before she had been fired, a girl was kicked out just before fashion week. If this is the same girl, it seems she’s doing well.

Petra’s gaze goes from Alice to me and she gives her friend a sly smile. “And who’s this hottie?”

She shakes her head. “Not mine. Tania’s.”

Petra raises her eyebrows. “Really? Good for her.” She gestures to the room of empty tables. “Please, take a seat anywhere you like. Any special requests today?"

“Granthen and spicy sauce please.” She takes a seat and I join her.

“What is this place?”

“It’s Petra and her husband’s temporary home base for their pop-up pizzeria. I drop in from time to time because one, it’s delicious, and two, I want to support my friend.”

I furrow my brows. “What’s pizza?”
