Puck is a vet, the only person we know in the tri-state area who could take care of my injury “off the books” and wouldn’t ask questions.

“So, I’m good to get back to working at the shop then?” I ask, giving him a wry smile.

“I’d take it easy for a few more weeks with operating heavy machinery but otherwise you’re good to go,” Puck says, reaching down to pet Stan’s head.

“Thanks for looking me over,” I say as I hop off the exam table. My leg feels completely fine, with only the occasional twinge in my shin here and there. I’ve got a sick-looking scar now too, which is a bonus.

Plus, I’ve had Sienna all to myself for the past few days, since she’s been monitoring me to make sure I’m totally healed. I don’t mind sharing her with my brothers but it’s also nice to have that one-on-one time too.

She’s waiting for me in the brightly lit lobby when I exit the room, giving me a hopeful smile. I give her a thumbs up and she squeals, rushing forward to hug me tightly. As she hugs me, I can’t help melting into the comfort of her embrace, reassurance coursing through me.

“I’m so glad you’re all better,” she says as she pulls me down to kiss me. Mrs. Barnabas and her old pug give us nasty looks for the PDA, but I don’t care. I’ve missed being close to her physically.

She’s been afraid to touch me ever since she bandaged me up, worried she might hurt me if she did. I’ve tried to reassure her that I’m fine, but she wouldn’t so much as hug me without a clean bill of health.

I think she was just scared after she saw me bleeding out from the gunshot wound and had to be the one to patch me up. I lean in to kiss her back, senses overwhelmed by the sweet scent of her hair and the softness of her lips against mine.

Breaking apart, we link hands as we exit the vet’s office. Caleb is waiting in the car and I wave, pointing to my leg. He gives an excited honk of the horn and we get inside.

“So, you got the all-clear from Puck?” Caleb asks.

I grin and nod. “Yup, I’m totally healed. Puck told me Sienna’s clean-up job was damned near perfect, by the way,” I tell her. She beams and we take off for home.

Once we’re home, Caleb makes himself scarce, claiming that he’s got to go to the library for some reason. Since Bastian’s been taking care of business at the shop because of my injury, he’s not home either, leaving Sienna and me at home.

“I just wanted to say thanks again, for saving me,” Sienna says as we sit down on the couch together. “You risked your life for me. If you hadn’t gotten the gun away from him, I wouldn’t be here.”

“When I saw you there, I didn’t even think,” I admit, reaching out to cup her cheek in my palm. “Seeing you in danger … everything else blurred. It was like instinct took over. I couldn't bear the thought of losing you, Sienna.”

Her skin feels soft and smooth under my touch, sending a jolt of electricity down my spine that I haven’t felt in a few weeks.

“You and Bas and Caleb put your lives on the line for me. I feel like I don’t know what I did to deserve that.”

“It’s because you’re you,” I say, rubbing her cheek with my thumb to chase the spark. “You’re Sienna Bennet, you’re special and beautiful and amazing and smart and you challenge us to be the best versions of ourselves.”

“Is that so?” Sienna asks, raising an eyebrow with a mirthful smile.

“Yup, it’s just that simple,” I tell her. I move my hands so both of them are cupping her cheeks and she and I can look into each other’s eyes as I lay my heart on the line for her.

“I love you, Sienna. I know you and Bastian and Caleb talked about it already, but I wanted to make sure you know that I love you as well.”

“I love you too, Dominic,” Sienna says, eyes bright and shiny. “Being around you just makes me feel so safe and protected. You’re brave and kind, and you inspire me to want to try new things.”

She pauses, shifting closer to me on the couch. “And actually, now that you’re better, there’s something new I want to try with you,” she says, leaning forward to whisper in my ear.

Sienna's whispered words send a shiver down my spine, igniting a fire of anticipation inside of me. “What is it you want to try?” I ask, reaching out to trace the soft shell of her ear with a lone finger.

“Do you trust me?” Sienna asks, her voice going straight through me.

I lean forward and bend down, looking her straight in the eye. “Of course I trust you.”

“Enough to let me tie you up?” she asks, a nervous look in her eyes.

Curious about where this is going, I nod and she stands up, taking me by the hand to lead me upstairs. Once we’re in my room, she pushes me down onto my desk chair and pulls out a familiar box from under my bed.

I raise an eyebrow but stay silent, wanting to see what she’s got up her sleeve. She pulls out some bondage rope and begins tying my hands and feet to the chair before stepping back to admire her handiwork. I test it out, the silk bonds tight on my skin but comfortable.

“Now, Agent Smith. You thought you could get away with tying me up and leaving me for the feds to find, but you’ll find I’m more clever than you anticipated,” she says, leaning into my space. A shaft of sunlight hits her and she looks every inch the seductress she’s playing.
