“Of course.”

“Are your parents going to like me?” I ask, slipping my shirt over my head. It’s a pretty blue color and super comfortable.

“Breeane, they already love you.”

I pull up my jeans and freeze as I’m about to button them. “Oh fuck, you saw your parents. I’m the worst. How was it? Are you alright?”

“Yes,” he says. He moves my hands away and finishes with my pants. “We are all good.”

“I’m happy for you.” I step into his body and wrap my arms around his waist. “I love you.”

“I love you, too.”

“We love you, too,” Lucas says as he opens the bathroom door.

I twist. “I love you both.” I move to Lucas, squeezing him tight.

“Are we forgiven?” he asks.

“There is nothing to forgive.” I kiss the center of his chest before moving to Las. I tuck in, pressing close. I sigh in relief when he pets my hair and kisses the top of my head. “Sorry, Daddy.”

“Hush,” he says. “Do you feel better?”

“A bit.”

“They all went outside to give us some privacy,” Las says gripping my shoulders and pushing back. “Are you ready to meet them?”

“As ready as possible.” At least I’m dressed.

Las takes my hand. I follow as he leads us downstairs. My heart starts to pound and my skin starts to itch. I start to feel the presence of Sass. She’s pushing, urging me to do…something.

Las opens the front door and I’m faced with a lawn full of shifters. A man and woman step forward. Their faces are smiling wide and welcoming. I start to smile back when I feel the tug again.

“Las?” I pull on his hand.

“What’s wrong?” he asks, looking back.

“I think I need to shift,” I gasp. My skin seems to stretch, my lion demanding to be let out. “Las,” I cry.

He scoops me off my feet and rushes down the stairs.

Great, the new in-laws are about to see me naked.

Chapter Thirty-One

Breeane

“Da…Las,” I cry again as the pain courses through every part of my body when he places me gently on the grass. “Please,” I beg. I drop to my knees.

“Baby, listen to me,” Las says firmly. “Your lion wants out. You have to give into the pull.” He kneels.

“I don’t know,” I moan helplessly.

“You do know. Listen to your lion.”

“It hurts. Sass is a bitch,” I growl.

“She wants to meet our lions. She wants to show you her magic,” he whispers. He pets my hair. “Imagine running with her guiding you.” My teeth elongate and my eyes brighten as I lock eyes with him. “That’s it, baby girl,” he coos. “I want to see your lion.”
