Page 42 of My Bully Alpha

But as the vision came in clearer, there was no mistaking who it was.

The pregnant woman looked just like me. There was no questioning it.

The shop came back to me in a rush, and my hands became my own again. Looking down at my feet, I sucked in shallow breaths, forced to come to terms with the vision I had just had.

“Janey?” Ivy asked, her voice echoing as everything settled again. “You had a premonition, didn’t you?”

I nodded slowly, feeling as if the shock of it never went away.

Being with child would be the best-case scenario for me and Levi, given that the alpha needed an heir. But it seemed so sudden—so soon.

“What happened?”

Shaking my head, I pulled in a steadying breath and stood normally again. “I didn’t see much. It was a broken one, but I’m sure I’ll see more later.”

Ivy studied me a bit longer, likely questioning why I looked so worked up if that was the case.

Urging myself to pull it together, I offered her a reassuring smile. “It’s nothing, I’m fine.”

“All right,” she said, retracting somewhat. “But if you’re still not feeling well, we can come back when you’re better.”

I nodded despite how I couldn’t shake that bewilderment.

I had a premonition I was pregnant. Carrying Levi’s baby.

Telling myself I was probably making it up, I tried to dispel that thought. Not every vision I had was right, and surely that one wasn’t either.

I worked hard to convince myself I was fine, but as the days passed, I could not ignore the reoccurring nausea and exhaustion. Working on the new library was harder when I was constantly out of breath. For the first time, I felt more akin to a human than a shifter.

No matter how I tried to focus on quite literally anything else, I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

By the time I felt like I was going insane, I decided I needed to find out once and for all. After Levi left for the office, I let Ivy know I’d be late and made my way over to Nati’s place. Fortunately, she was already up and preparing for the day when I knocked on her door.

When she appeared, something strange moved through her eyes before a smile lit up her face. “Good morning. What can I do for my Luna?”

While it still felt strange to hear, I was slowly getting used to it.

“Hi, Nati. I was wondering if you might be able to confirm something for me,” I said, surprisingly nervous as I stood there.

“Of course, please come in,” she said, making room for me to pass by her.

Once the door closed behind us, I took a deep breath and followed her into the next room, where she had her reading table, paired with two stools and many of her divination tools. We both took a seat. “I had a premonition the other day, and I saw myself…”

“With child?” she asked, filling in the blanks for me. At my surprised expression, she laughed quietly to herself. “You were throwing pregnancy energy when I saw you standing there,” she said.

Hearing it from her made it all feel even more real. More tangible.

“Are you sure?” I asked, confused by the rush of different emotions at once.

Nati smiled. “I can confirm it with a small reading if that will put you at ease.”

While it was scary to come to terms with, I nodded. I needed to know.

“Excellent,” she hummed to herself as she reached for two rose-colored palm crystals and handed them to me. “Please hold one in each hand and close your eyes.”

Doing as she directed, I held the crystals in my hands and closed my eyes, feeling as if my heart was racing.
