“His feelings were hurt,” said Sinclair. “Because in his mind, you’re choosing me over him.”
“I mean, I guess I basically was,” said Rohan ruefully. “But he needs to understand that you need me so much more than he does right now. He’s got Eleri and Maguire.”
“Yeah, he’s basically the filling of a Devlin sandwich every night,” I said with a shrug. “We have a very fulfilling sex life, there’s no denying that, but he misses you, Rohan.”
Rohan sighed.
“They’re not double-knotting you?” said Sinclair.
I turned to him. “They want to, but…”
He grinned. “But you’re saving your ass for me?”
I perfumed again. “But you have to… I need more than just—”
“No, we’ll stretch you, sparrow, we’ll make it nice, real nice, but that’s why you’re here. Because you and I both know that’s mine.”
I nodded. “I miss having your bruises,” I gasped.
He kissed me and I molded myself into him.
I pulled away. “That’s fucked up, isn’t it?”
“You’re an omega, and it’s perfectly normal,” said Sinclair.
Rohan huffed.
We both turned to look at him.
“There are ways to mark her that don’t have to be so painful,” he said.
“I like the pain,” I squealed.
“Noted, omega,” said Rohan. “Even still, it’s about time the two of you had a responsible adult in the middle of this.” He sighed, shaking his head at us.
I beamed at him. “Rohan will be the alpha and we’ll just be—”
“Hey, I’m an alpha, too,” said Sinclair. “But Rohan’s bossy in a very sexy way.”
I writhed into them. I wanted to be part of it, whatever they had. I wanted not to feel jealous.
Sinclair kissed me again. “We done talking?”
“Well…” I bit down on my bottom lip. I had tried to come here and be an omega who pulled her pack together, bringing all my alphas together, but I had to admit I was now just a very turned-on omega who wanted knots. “I think we should knot me and then maybe talk more about… things.”
“Solid plan,” said Sinclair.
Rohan laughed, shaking his head. “You two are lucky that you’re very cute, really.” His voice dropped in register. “And that I haven’t had you at all, omega, and I’m aching for a taste of you.”
I perfumed at that. I liked Rohan a lot. He was the steadiest of my alphas. Maguire was steady, too, but the energy was different. He was all action and Rohan was peaceful and solid. “Devlin shouldn’t have lied to me about you,” I said. “He made me think you were staying away from me. He…” I sighed, because Devlin and I had things to work through. We’d been making progress, and then the announcement about biting me after the ball happened, and that was all he cared about.
I wanted to yell at Devlin, but I didn’t know if yelling at him was going to get me to the place where I wanted to be, with all of my alphas getting along and ready to bite me together.
In all truth, letting Sinclair be the first alpha to knot my ass was probably not the best way to get all of them together. I shouldn’t do that.
Except…
I felt like I’d done enough already to placate Devlin. And when it came to Sinclair, I wanted to give in. I didn’t want to do the intelligent thing.
