“I love you, Killian.”

“I love you, Brielle,” I said truthfully, and she wiped her tears as a smile came to her face. Placing a kiss on her lips, I picked up her from the chair as she wrapped her legs around me, giggling. Making my way with her to our bath, I made sure she felt loved, understood, cherished, and adored. I made sure she felt everything I’d felt for her through my actions.

After our rather intimate time together, I made my way downstairs to see the door opening. Blaine held the knob with a look of disgust as he closed the door with a tissue in hand.

“Blaine, what now?” I asked, rolling my eyes, and he cleared his throat.

“I am not entirely aware if any sexual activities were performed in this area, and I’m just being cautious.” Ignoring his antics, I turned away from him as I headed for my office.

“All matters regarding that subject took place upstairs, Blaine,” I said, and he immediately relaxed and followed me.

“Guess who tried investing another million dollars into a branch of your company.” He laughed, and I sighed while entering my office.

“Why must Calvin constantly beg for my attention on a daily basis?” Blaine shrugged as he took a seat on my leather chair.

“You don’t think he’s doing all this for a purpose?”

Going through my file cabinet, I responded. “Of course, he is. I don’t exactly know why yet, but he’s definitely not doing this just for shits and giggles.”

“He either wants to A) completely destroy you, your business, relationship, and life in general, B) he wants to join your company or C) he wants to do all of the above. What’s your pick?”

“Well, with Calvin, there is no in-between, so my best bet would be C, but…”

“But what?” He asked me, and I continued.

“But I feel like he’s planning something different.. I know he wants to destroy me, but if he could do it in a way where our businesses end up conjoined, fulfilling his lifetime wish, and he could still remain close to me, don’t you think that would be his plan?”

“I wouldn’t put it past him. The man is insane.” Nodding in agreement, we engaged in other business-related matters before Brielle walked into the room dressed in a grey pencil skirt, a white long-sleeve blouse, and heels, with her hair in a high ponytail with two long bangs.

“Good morning, Blaine.” She greeted happily, and Blaine smirked lowly as he turned in the chair and murmured.

“I’m sure the two of you did have a good morning.” Brielle quickly looked over to me as she tilted her head, and I simply pulled her over to me by the waist and kissed her forehead.

“What’s on my schedule today, darling?” Opening the iPad in her hand, I rubbed her waist as she spoke.

“Well, you have a final conference with your father about some company decisions and regarding the employees you will be taking to New York, keeping here in London and also letting go because of poor performance. Mr. Masahiko will also be having a small meeting with you and Blaine about moving forward. You haven’t decided when we’ll leave London, but I suggest tonight because you have an important meeting scheduled for tomorrow afternoon in New York. And then you just have the usual paperwork to do for the rest of the day.” She finished delivering her notes, and I nodded my head. I was getting ready to speak when the front door opened, and I heard two giggles.

“Kimiko, you get off of my back at once! Delilah, if you do not stop pulling on my pant leg this instant, I will not give you any gram crackers before lunch.”

“What are you making for lunch?”Kimiko asked in Japenese and Delilah spoke as well.

“I want to know what’s for lunch too.” I heard Reginald physically growl, and we all exited the room to see the adorable scene for ourselves.

“Well, you would know what was for lunch if you behaved and stopped acting like baby monkeys. Now, I will only say this one more time. The both of you let me go and have a seat in the kitchen before a timeout will be ordered.” Both girls quickly got off of him and ran into the kitchen, not even noticing the three of us standing there. Reginald stood up straight and looked over to us as he sighed heavily.

“It’s been a long night… I’d rather not talk about it.”

We arrived back in the States a few hours ago, and I was in my office reviewing the new contracts that needed signing. I heard a knock at my door and spoke without looking up from the document.

“Come in.” The door opened, and judging from the clicks of the person’s heels, I could tell it wasn’t Brielle. Looking up, I saw Anna walking over to my file drawers with a stack in hand.

“Good morning, Mr. Russel.” She spoke, and I replied, continuing my reading.

“Good morning, Anna… Is the conference room ready for this afternoon?”

“Ms. Newman is working on it right now as we speak, sir.” I furrowed my eyebrows and turned my head over to her.

“I didn’t instruct her to do so..”
