“Are we not going to finish what we started?”

“Of course not, Killian. We need to go. Delilah’s waiting for us,” I groaned, and she giggled as she left the room as well. Deciding I should go join them, I stood up and threw on my coat. Going downstairs, I went outside and made my way to the estate grounds out front, where I saw Brielle smiling at Delilah, who was trying so desperately to make a snow angel, as she vigorously moved her arms and legs.

Going over to them, I stopped in my tracks as I felt something hit my back. Turning around, I saw a smiling Blaine holding about five snowballs. I rolled my eyes at him, and he spoke.

“How about a one-on-one?”

“No, thank you, Blaine-” I didn’t even get to finish my sentence as another hit my stomach. I took a deep breath in as I tried not to show my anger, and as I went to turn, another hit my face. Wiping it off angrily, I glared at Blaine, who simply shrugged.

“My bad.” He grinned, and I chuckled darkly. The second I started moving towards him, he dropped his snowballs with a yelp and started running away.

Picking up my pace, I smiled sadistically.“You’re mine.”

Omniscient

Walking down the stairs as she fixed her earrings, Brielle looked over to Killian, speaking to Delilah, who looked adorable in her dark red long-sleeve flower dress. As they were occupied with one another, Brielle tiptoed over to Blaine, who was eating chocolate chip cookies by the fireplace.

Leaning down to be face-to-face with him, Blaine moved his plate to the side as he took a bite of his cookie. “Get your own,” He mumbled, and Brielle rolled her eyes.

“That’s not why I’m here. I need you to get the tree up before we get back.” He sighed heavily as he leaned his head back.

“Alright, I’ll do it.” Taking the cookie out of his hand, Brielle took a bite and handed it back to him.

“Thank you,” She replied with a smile, and she walked away before he could protest. Killian smiled as he noticed her approaching them. From head to toe, he made note of every detail she’d taken into account.

Her beautiful brown hair in luscious bouncy curls, her maroon floor-length dress that accentuated her curves, and her gorgeous smile complimented her look. He brought her into his arms for a small kiss, almost forgetting the little girl standing beside him who was swinging his hand that held her own.

“So, are we all ready to go?” Brielle questioned, and Killian nodded his head as he looked down at her.

“You look absolutely stunning.” Brielle thanked him softly and looked over to Delilah, who seemed very excited.

“Are you ready to go, baby?” She asked the little girl, and Delilah nodded quickly. Just then, Benjamin made his appearance and spoke.

“George is waiting outside.” Killian nodded his head, and the three of them put on their coats and walked out to George, who stood outside of the car in the snow, waiting. Entering the car, it didn’t take long for them to arrive at their destination. Upon entering the restaurant, they were immediately greeted, and the host took their coats. They were escorted to their seats, and Delilah continuously looked around until she was seated in her chair.

“What are you looking at, baby?” Brielle asked, and Delilah looked over to her.

“It’s just so pretty!” She gushed, and Brielle smiled at the little girl’s excitement. Killian looked away as he muttered.

“I could’ve done a better job, but I guess this is okay.” Brielle slapped his leg unnoticeably, and Killian looked over at her as he didn’t think she'd heard him. They continued talking about nothing in particular and ordered once the waiter came over to them.

In the middle of listening to the two girls laugh during their new discussion, Killian felt his phone vibrating silently. He took it out and hit ignore without even looking at the caller ID.

As he was moving it back to his pocket, he felt it ring again, and Brielle looked over at him as she’d noticed, too. Looking down, Killian sighed as he knew it was important. He looked up at Brielle, and she gave him a sad smile as if saying, ‘It’s okay.’

Suddenly feeling guilty for needing to answer the call, he spoke. “.. It’s work.” He affirmed, and Brielle nodded.

“Take as much time as you need. We’ll be right here.” Killian stood up and headed for the exit, but not before giving Brielle a quick kiss on the lips. He stepped outside of the building, and the person called for the third time. Answering the call, he sneered.

“Harrison, I thought I specifically told you to call me when there is an emergency in need of my assistance. If this is not an urgent phone call, I will personally drive down to New York to punch the shit out of you for making me miss even a second of my time needed for my girls. What is it that you need right now?”

“Marissa has an alibi.” Killian stopped moving for a moment.

“What the hell did you just say?”

“The court is debating on whether or not to allow her to testify for Delilah, and as time goes by, they’re leaning towards accepting it.”

“What the hell kind of excuse has she given that the court would even suggest letting her speak?”
