Brielle sat with the girls, getting ready, and Maia went over to where she was sitting. “Are you excited, Bri? Big day today…”

“I’m excited and nervous at the same time… and I feel like throwing up,” Brielle answered in all honesty, and Maia laughed.

“Well, that could be one of two things. One, the baby or two, your nerves are getting the best of you, and you need to relax a bit.” Brielle nodded her head and slowly pulled up her stockings.

Madam A walked into the room, and after noticing Brielle’s nerves, she took the girls out for a bit to give her a little time to herself. As she finished, she sat staring at herself in the mirror, and after a minute or two, she couldn’t help the tears that fell down her face and the small sobs that filled her chest.

Valarie entered the room and immediately noticed that Brielle was crying. Grabbing Eugene, who was walking through the halls, she pushed him into the room without warning. He looked over to his younger sister, who, to him, looked to be going into a panic attack. He left the room and headed straight for the men’s dressing room.

“What the hell is wrong with you? I pushed you in there so you could help her feel better, not so you could leave as soon as you went inside.”

“Brielle is crying and going into a panic attack. Clueless Eugene did the right thing by exiting and going after the one person who knows how to deal with her. Plus hormones? I don’t think Eugene has the mental capacity to handle that situation.” He muttered, and she gave him a look, trying to keep up with his strides.

“And you think Killian does?” She asked him sarcastically, and Eugene shrugged.

“Well, he has to.. he’s marrying her.”

Brielle wiped her tears and heard the door open before closing quickly. A few moments later, she heard heavy footsteps approach. The door opened again, and Killian walked in. He stepped over to her and frowned as her adorable face held a small pout and her glossy, tear-filled eyes.

“Darling, hey, sweetheart.. Talk to me, my love.. What’s wrong?” He bent down and held her hand in his own.

She smiled sadly and spoke. “I just love you so much, Killy, a-and I don’t know why I’m so s-sad because of it.” He shushed her softly, and she laid her head on his shoulder as he rubbed her thigh.

“It’s alright, sweetheart. No need to cry. Killy’s here, and he loves you too.” Killian had to hold in his slight laughter as her hormones were making her a mess.

“Do you t-think I’ll fit into my dress?” She asked, and Killian looked over at her in disbelief.

“Of course you will. This baby bump isn’t going to stop you from getting into that dress. You hear me, you little cock blocker? Stop making my wife cry.” Killian seethed, and Brielle laughed as she pushed his face away from her growing stomach.

“Killy, you have to be nice to the baby.”

“Yeah, yeah, I know… I’ll try.” She kissed his lips and smiled as she spoke.

“You know it’s bad luck for a bride to see the groom before the wedding?”

Killian shrugged. “I’ve never been one to play by the rules, so I don’t mind breaking this one if I get to see you.” Brielle opened her mouth to speak, but Killian’s mother opened the door and shook her head.

“You’ve had enough time Killian. You’ll have all this fun after the ceremony and on your honeymoon.” Killian chuckled and placed a kiss on Brielle’s head.

“I’ll see you out there, love.” She bit her lip as she watched his retreating back, and Eleanor tsked as she grabbed the curling iron and handed it to one of Killian’s stylists.“We need to get to work. Time is not on our side today.”

The stylists quickly finished Brielle’s hair and makeup and brought her dress over. After pulling the skirt up and putting the veil on, Brielle noticed that a whole hour and a half had passed. There was a knock at the door, and Valarie entered the room, letting the girls know it was time to get ready.

Eugene’s friends walked into the room, waiting to pair up, and all of the girls blushed while going over to their partners. Maia couldn’t help but roll her eyes, and Brielle giggled at the irony of the matchmaking going on in the building.

Brielle sighed happily as she looked at herself in the mirror. Though she didn’t choose much and looked like a traditional bride, the size of the dress or ring didn’t matter to her. She sure knew it didn’t matter to Killian either.

She smiled as Delilah and Kimiko ran past the door, giggling while Madam A was behind them, trying to catch up. Mr. Burkley walked into the room dressed in his suit and sighed as he turned away. Brielle went over to him slowly and chuckled once she heard his mumbling.

“You promised you wouldn’t cry. You promised you wouldn’t cry. Dammit, I’m crying.”

Turning to Brielle, he gave her a genuine smile as his tears threatened to fall. “You look gorgeous, sweetheart.” Brielle wrapped her arms around him for comfort, and he hugged her back happily. Pulling away, he opened the door for her to walk out.

“It’s showtime.”

Killian stood at the altar, waiting for the moment Brielle would walk down the aisle. Roughly 100 to 150 people were sitting in the audience, many of whom he knew by business or family. The bridesmaids and groomsmen walked down the aisle, but Killian didn’t pay much attention. Eugene’s friend’s son was the ring boy, and he watched the young boy walk down.

A small smile did appear on Killian’s face when Delilah and Kimiko walked down the aisle as they threw the petals on the ground. His gaze drifted over to the people sitting in the audience, and his entire mood dropped once his eyes locked on Calvin, who had a smile plastered on his face. He felt his blood starting to boil, and Blaine nudged him.
