She smiled. “So I’ve been told.”

Gazing at the way her smile made the room light up, to her intoxicating scent, to her beautiful attributes that would bring him to his knees in only a second, he spoke in a slight daze. “Have dinner with me.”

“You’re not gonna let this go, are you?” She asked, patting his chest as she tilted her head.

“Of course not,” he admitted as she pulled away from him entirely and gave him a wink before walking away, purposely swaying her hips. Killian bit his lip once again as he was caught in a slight trance, but he shook himself from it and went after her when she closed the door.

“Oh, you little vixen,” He whispered, a little angry but mostly amused. Opening the door, he saw her by the elevator and stepped out of his office.

“So, is that a yes?” He asked, and she turned to look back.

“You’re gonna have to try much harder than that, Killy.” He groaned as she walked into the elevator, and he paid no mind to Anna, who was trying her best not to laugh. Walking back into his office, he leaned against his desk, impatiently waiting for her to return. After a minute or so, the door opened, and she ignored him as she sat the papers on his desk and walked past him to her office.

He walked to her door and watched as she took a seat and opened her folder, placing one of the contracts in front of her to read over. Killian walked over to her slowly, and she continued to read as he went around her desk to stand behind her chair.

“Killian..” She began, but she heard no response. She turned to look at him but jumped when he placed his hands harshly on the desk as he hovered over her.

“You want to repeat what you said a little earlier right now, hmm? How hard do I need to try?” He spoke into her ear, and she shuddered as she felt his breath against her neck.

“I- uh.. I-”

“Save it.” He cut her off and spun her chair around to face him. She bit her lip, and Killian’s eyes went down to her lips before returning to her eyes. He leaned down to kiss her, and she kissed back as she ran her fingers through his hair. He pulled away after a bit and went down to her neck to find her sweet spot, and he continued his torture as she tugged at his hair. Sinking her teeth deep into her lower lip, she stifled a moan as his hand landed on her thigh. She was about to utter something when a voice made them both freeze.

“Bribri?” Brielle quickly pushed Killian away and fell out of her seat to the floor as she coughed up a storm. She stood up, trying to play it off, and went over to Delilah, who looked like she was just waking up.

“Hi baby, is everything alright? How are you feeling?” She leaned down to the little girl and pushed the hairs out of her face.

“A l-little better. Just hungry now.” Brielle nodded her head and stood up straight.

“I’ll make you a little something to calm that throat and belly ache, okay?” Delilah nodded her head, and Brielle walked out of the room as Killian collected himself. He made eye contact with the little girl, slowly feeling as though she was trying to see through his soul. He looked over to the door as he approached her slowly and looked back into her eyes.

“What did you see, little girl?”

“More than enough, Killy.” She grinned, and he cleared his throat as he looked away. He pulled out two hundred dollar bills and held them out for her.

“Let’s keep quiet about this. There is no need to remind Brielle of what her 5-year-old saw.” Delilah nodded as she grabbed the money and placed it in her pocket. She laid back on the couch and yawned as she waited for Brielle.

Killian walked out of the room and looked over his shoulder at the little girl. If he wasn’t careful, he knew he would be giving her bribe money left and right for all his mistakes.

Delilah had her head on Brielle’s shoulder as she dozed in and out of reality. Brielle was on the computer finishing her work as she held the sleepy little girl. Killian, as usual, was on the phone, enraged. Blaine had come in a couple of hours ago and has been raiding the break room fridge ever since.

Brielle often wondered how well Blaine’s company was actually doing. However, she knew they were doing well as she could see his company profits at the last meeting she’d scheduled for his company executives while his secretary was out sick. Delilah was very excited to see him, as was he. He felt for the little baby and held her in his arms the whole time he was there until he got hungry.

The door opened, and Brielle thought nothing of it as it could’ve been Blaine. But when Killian stopped shouting, and you could hear a pin drop, she knew something was wrong. She looked over to the door, and her eyes widened as Calvin and two of his men stood behind him.

Anna was on her break, so of course, this had to be perfect timing. She quickly stood up, placed Delilah on the couch, and ran to the door. They were already completely in his office, and as Calvin saw her enter the room, he sent her a wink.

Blaine opened the door with a smile. Once he noticed why there was silence, he tried to close it with the smile still stuck to his face. Brielle quickly grabbed his arm and pulled him in before he could get too far.

“Lockwood. I don’t have time for the games today.” Killian sighed, standing up, and Calvin chuckled.

“Oh, but Killian, I have the time, and I’d like to discuss our proposition since you’ve been attempting to avoid me.”

“And I’m telling you now to fuck off.” Blaine walked over to them, and Brielle furrowed her eyebrows as she spoke. “What proposition?”

“His ‘proposition’ is blackmail.” Killian seethed, and Calvin looked over to her as he continued to smile.

“Well, what is he blackmailing you with?” She asked, and Calvin replied.
