"Tyr," I say breathlessly.

"Nova, I can’t wait another minute. I need your body on mine. I need to be inside you." He looks at me fiercely. He grabs his shirt and strips it off over his head in one smooth motion.

No talking, just doing. And I’m even on a bed this time. At least Aimee will get a kick out of this.

I stare at his shirtless body, my eyes roaming over every inch of his bare skin. I reach down, grabbing the edge of my oversized hoodie, and shuck it off. I sit criss-crossed on the bed in my skimpy black tank top and matching black leggings.

Tyr prowls closer to me, licking his lips like a predator in search of prey. He grabs one of my legs and pulls it from under me, making it possible to grab my other one. Scooting me down the bed by my ankles, he plants his knees between my legs. He hovers over me for just a moment before putting his hands on my shoulders, effectively pushing me back. I look up at the ceiling, smiling to myself. Plunging his fingers into my waistband, he takes off my pants in a rush. Noticing my absence of panties causes him to smirk. My skin glistens from want and need.

Speechless and impatient, I wiggle my tank top off, laying there bare and ready for Tyr to claim my body once more.

With a groan, he takes his pants off and climbs on top of me. Taking my hands in his, he pushes them above my head, holding them there. He kisses me again with ferocity, claiming my mouth with his own. This is something that I have been waiting for, something I have needed for too long.

Using his thighs to spread my own even wider, he plunges his cock inside me in one thrust, stretching me and eliciting a moan from my mouth. I wrap my legs around him, grinding my body into his.

There are no options to go slow. We both need this to move forward from our past that's got us both trapped alone in our heads, in this victim mentality.

I must have fallen asleep, still sticky from sweat and other bodily fluids. Rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I sit up.

"Tyr?" I mumble into the pitch-black room. Even though I’m no stranger to the dark, I can’t help but shudder and check my surroundings.

Darkness is becoming a constant companion in my life. I often wake up in the middle of the night, frightened and confused, trying to figure out where I am. Am I on the island, Roger's video room, or maybe the area where it all ended? It’s never any of those; just my mundane bedroom.

"Tyr? Where are you?"

My eyes start to play tricks on me, and I begin having flashbacks from the basement. I swear the shadows are moving and swirling around me. My limbs are tingling, and I can no longer differentiate between fantasy and reality.

Am I sitting on the bed, or am I still suspended from the banister?

Where am I?

Tyr steps into the room from the hallway, letting in a small amount of light. He presses his finger to his lips in order to shush me. I furrow my brows but stay silent as I steady my breathing, noticing he has a phone against his ear.

"Yes, I understand. I know." His eyes lock on mine. He speaks into the device without passion or emotion. "Yes, I’m able to do that first thing tomorrow morning. Yes, goodnight."

Tyr hangs up the phone and places it on the dresser that sits next to the door.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you, or leave you alone." Without speaking any more, he comes to the bed and crawls under the blankets next to me. Putting his arm around my shoulders, he drags me to his chest.

"Is everything alright? You seemed to rush the conversation on the phone." I snuggle in closer to him, missing his warmth on my body.

"Yes. Everything is exactly as it should be. Let's go back to sleep, and we can worry about things tomorrow." He closes his eyes and puts his cheek against my hair.

"Okay, goodnight." I don't want to press him on it. I want to go back to sleep. I need some decent sleep.

First Introductions

Upon waking the next morning, I realize that I’m alone– again. Tyr had hung thin black curtains over the windows in the bedroom, but they do little to stop the sunlight from filtering in. It’s a shocking difference from the darkness earlier, almost pleasurable. I have no idea what time it is, but I think I slept in a little.

Sitting up in bed with the sheet pressed to my naked body, I take a moment to inspect my surroundings. It somehow looks different in the light of day. His room isn't giant, but it’s by no means small. To the right side of the bed, there is a door to the bathroom. It’s mostly closed, and from what I can see, it disappears into nothingness. Next to the bathroom are sliding mirrored doors that lead to his closet. My reflection casts itself back at me. I meet my own eyes in the mirror and shudder in response to the circles underneath them. Sleeping isn’t easy anymore, and neither is getting the bags under my eyes to disappear.

"Tyr, are you here?" I shout loudly into the near-empty room. The sound of my own voice being raised makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up, especially when no one returns my call. Goosebumps find their way onto my pale skin, signaling me to get up and get out of there.

Swinging my feet off the side of the bed, I find a plush, white carpet. My toes dig into the fibers of the fabric. It feels as if it’s sucking the negative energy out through my toes. I stand up and stretch my body, feeling the effects of last night. I didn't get off, but I still enjoyed it. I can’t blame him for forgetting about my needs. It has been a long time.

I walk to the melamine dresser that Tyr put his phone on last night and open a series of drawers until I find an old shirt of his that I can throw on. Afterwards, I make my way back to the canopy bed and strip the sheets, throwing them in a pile. If I’m going to live here, I have to do things my way as well as his. Dirty sheets are definitely a pet peeve of mine.

Noticing that Tyr still hasn't answered me or made an appearance , I make my way out of the bedroom and close the door behind me. With my head on a swivel, I’m able to notice the lack of decor. It almost reminds me of that first hallway Tyr carried me through on the way to the mansion.
