“Our sweet, filthy angel,” he crooned, making her smile. It lit him up inside. “Sit on the bed. I want to love you.” Her movements were slow like her mind had gone somewhere deep and far, and he wanted to bring her back. Remind her that though what she’d left was the stuff of nightmares, they had dreams to live out.

“I’m going to make you feel good,” he said as he helped her onto the berth. “You’re so warm all over.” He kissed the inside of her leg, starting at her knees. He palmed her inner thighs, stretching his fingers so he could touch as much skin as possible. He pressed his lips and his nose to the smooth heat of her body. “You make me ravenous,” he growled, taking some of that supple brown skin between his teeth.

She gasped and arched, then widened the space between her legs so he could touch her more. “Make me forget it,” she begged.

The door slammed opened, and they both froze. Enzo’s hands froze on Rosalía as Cam walked in. He looked done in and only wore his trousers. A lump rose in Enzo’s throat at the sight of this man who’d come to mean so much to him. Cam had killed before, and for that matter, so had Enzo. But this had been for Rosi, and the three of them knew it.

“Come here, darling,” Rosalía coaxed lifting her arms to him. Cam stood frozen by the door, his face stony, his fists hanging by his sides as he watched them. “We need you.”

Enzo hoped Cam could see the truth in those words. They did need him. Needed him now and forever.

“I’m sorry, sweetheart,” Cam croaked when he reached them, but she shook her head. Her eyes were bright, but that wariness he’d seen in them before was gone.

“I am glad you did it.” She looked straight at him, his brave, wild girl. He would do anything for her, for the two of them.

“I won’t ever let anything happen to either of you,” Cam promised recklessly. He kissed her sweetly, then took Enzo’s mouth in a punishing kiss. Needing to possess.

To know these two people were his.

“This belongs to me.” Cam ran his hands first over that lush caramel-colored rump, then did the same to Enzo’s leaner milky skin. Cam ran his tongue over the valley between her breasts and slid a finger down the furrow of the younger man’s ass, his heart beating heavily in his chest.

“We do belong to you,” she told him, her eyes glowing with something he’d never thought he’d see directed at him.

She still wanted him, even after what she’d seen him do. Cam had never thought he’d have this: a connection that could withstand the grim, violent truth of the life he’d been thrust into. It only made the goal of the club that more urgent. He wanted out of this business. He wanted to run his club and scratch some satisfaction out of having survived a brutal world for ten years.

He’d thought he’d lost his soul years ago, but in a matter of days, these two had awakened it.

“What should I do to punish you for starting without me?” he asked, surprised his voice sounded almost playful after what they’d all experienced.

“We’re sorry, Captain,” Rosalía responded, not sounding sorry at all.

Cam sucked a red spot on Enzo’s right ass cheek then lazily fingered Rosalía.

“Come kiss me, demon,” Cam demanded, making her laugh.

“Yes, Cam,” she whispered demurely before rising to press her lips to his. She stretched to reach him, then slid that hot, velvety tongue into his mouth.

He sighed into the kiss. Her breathy moans made him feel like he was water, like he was air—not just wanted, but necessary.

“Hey, how about me?” Enzo protested, bumping his butt against Cam’s hard cock, making them laugh around the kiss.

“Hold on, brat,” Cam teased, pinching the ass that was rubbing against him. When he pulled away, the bleakness in Rosalía’s eyes was gone and replaced by that wicked, playful sparkle that made his blood sing.

“I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone as anxious to be punished,” she teased, leaning down to lick Enzo cock from base to tip, making their lover tremble. How could Enzo be the same abrasive man who had boarded the Delilah merely two weeks ago?

Enzo looked free, and Rosalía was in full bloom—ripe and lush, ready to be devoured—and Cam would do anything to keep them: the man who had risked everything to take a chance on him and the woman who had given him her treasured rum to save his hide. Now, with his hold full of rum and his bed warmed by the two people who made his heart soar, Cam could finally start living.

Epilogue

One year and one month later

“How does it feel to have the hottest club in New York City, Mr. McCollough?” Rosalía asked Camden from her perch on the window bench of their suite. She would have to start getting ready for her set soon, but she hadn’t seen either of her men all day. She lifted the folded copy of the Post, which had a picture of her singing onstage at the Swallow on their opening night last month.

That morning, the paper had run a story about the resounding success of the club, calling it the new place to see and be seen at in New York, and had dubbed her the brightest star in Manhattan. As far as dreams went, that bit of praise was beyond anything she could’ve imagined when she’d crawled inside the hold of the Hippodrome over a year ago. And yet, it paled in comparison to the gift she’d been given. Half that gift was currently gazing down at her with enough heat to make her break a sweat.

“How does it feel to be the new darling of the clubs?” Camden asked her with that big smile, one that always seemed to be on display lately. He strolled slowly toward her in his stocking feet, discarding his jacket and tie as he did. She didn’t like anyone wearing shoes on her eggshell carpet.

“Well, I haven’t been celebrated accordingly.” She pouted, undoing the tie of her robe to reveal her nakedness underneath. She’d begun going to a cosmetologist recently who relieved her of every strand of hair from the neck down, and both her boys loved it.
