Walking out of the kitchen, towards the main room, I stop in my tracks when I hear the girls’ voices.
“So, how was the date?” Willa asks Kady.
I step closer, making sure that they don’t see me.

“Just okay?” Tree asks her sister.
“Yeah. We talked and we had some nice food,” Kady says but I detect a little waver in her voice.
She is lying.
“Kady, will you be seeing him again?” comes from Joss.
What the fuck? I thought she had my back, she is my sister-in-law and all that. Family first, fuckers.
“Maybe,” is Kady’s reply.
I hear someone cough, then they continue talking.
“Did you sleep with him?”
“I bet his dick was so big.”
“Did you kiss him?”
The girls fire questions at her and I can’t fucking take it anymore, even though I want to know her answers but at the same time I fucking don’t. I might just go and strangle the fucker who touched her.
My headache is suddenly forgotten, as I step further into the room to Kady. She is sitting with her sister, Joss, and Willa, holding Mable on her lap while helping the baby girl eat some baby food.
All thoughts of the cunt who touched my girl are lost in my head as I set eyes on her.
“What the fuck have you done to your hair?” I call across to her.
Her once dirty blonde hair that was down past her shoulder blades, now sits above her shoulders in a shaggy cut. Layers flick out in different directions, giving her that sexy rocker look.
