“You have never told me that I am yours. You have become insufferable since the attack. Always watching me, touching me but never making a move for more. It just proves to me that you know that you can never be serious with one woman, otherwise you would have made a solid move. Just let it go, Calder.”
I go to speak but the doors open and my brothers climb in, Maverick in the back with us, so I slide across the seat, pressing myself against her body.
“Okay, are we ready to do this?” No one responds to Royal, who chuckles.
We drive out of the compound, the tension thick and it is all coming from Kady and me.
Leaning close to her, my lips brush against her hair. Her body stiffens a little then she relaxes.
“Never letting it go, Kitten.”
Turning her head so she can look me in the eye, I wait for her to speak.
“You really think you are all that and more, Calder?”
“I do, baby. No woman can resist me, haven’t had any complaints so far.” I wink.
She lets out a light laugh, the sound filling the dead silent car.
“Oh, no, baby, they said nothing because they didn’t want to hurt your feelings.” She pats my thigh.
Now it is my body that is reacting. Placing my hand on top of hers, I keep her hand in place, needing that little piece of contact for now, but I will get more. Skin to skin is what is in the future for us.
“You wound me, baby.” My free hand goes to my chest, in mock hurt.
The guys laugh, and just like that the tension is broken.
“You will get over it. Your ego is the size of all of Florida, Calder Price. You will be fine.”
“It is not just my ego that is big, Kitten. Want to see what else is big?”
Her lips twitch like she is fighting back a smile.
“Okay, fuckface, leave the sexual tension for when you are inside the club,” Finan calls to us from the front seat.
The rest of the drive down is all of us going over plans. Maverick explains the layout of the club, the basement, the first floor and the second floor, as it is spanned over a large area. The club is big and clearly knows how to accommodate what people want sexually—it has everything. We set up a membership in both mine and Kady’s fake names.
For tonight, we are married and want to spice it up.
Watching Kady interact with my brothers, I see a new side to her. Someone who is determined and strong. Someone who is willing to jump into a box of snakes to help the club and people who are getting hurt by this scammer bitch.
Kady has always had a protective streak in her, she has always been fierce, but often got the short end of the stick when she opened her mouth. Going off to college changed her completely, and fuck me, it made me want her.
She not only changed her whole appearance but her personality changed, her whole character. It was like Kady was reborn, and hell, she was a fierce kitten.
My mind was always in the biker way, fucking my way through life until someone caught my eye enough to make me settle down and claim an Ol’ Lady. I thought Kady was that person when she first came back from college, but she was dating someone and I knew that I had missed my chance, so I took it as a sign that we were not meant to be. I kept on sleeping with random women, and Kady saw a lot of that, more so once Tree married Royal.
Now I have to show her that I am willing to try something more with her. Seeing her hurt made things snap into focus for me, I just need to make her see it.
CHAPTER TEN
KADY
We arrive at our hotel, and the guys really went all out, looking up at the tall white building. The car comes to a stop, and the men climb out, Calder stopping at the door and holding his hand out for me.
Slipping my palm against his, I shiver at the touch, and he smirks knowing what he is doing to me.
“Let’s go check in,” Finan says while walking away.
