He shifts away, freeing me from his spell, and stretches his arms high above his head. Even that looks sexy on him.

I openly gawk, my brain busy making mental notes of poses I want for him.

“Will you be ogling me like this the whole time you’re doing the photo shoot?”

“Probably. It’s so easy for you to look sexy. You move and it works. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner. But I won’t be taking the pictures. My neighbor is a photographer and owes me for feeding her cat last month. I’d need her soon, though. That could be a problem.” I lift my phone to text her.

Easton lowers my hand before I can send her a message.

“I haven’t agreed yet,” he says with a grin.

“Will you do it for me, please?” I press my hands together, sandwiching my phone, and give him puppy eyes. “Will you be my model and pose for me half naked?”

“Which half?”

“The top half.”

“Pity. My best feature is in my pants.”

I giggle and cover my flaming face. Why does he make me blush so much? “I’ll take your word for it.”

His gaze drops to my lips, then he wipes his mouth and stands. “Tell me something… What do you want to do with this sex-book-cover side business?”

“Romance book covers.” And hello, one-eighty. “What’s this about?”

“It’s a simple question.” He crosses his arms and leans against the wood deck railing. “What do you want to do with it?”

I shrug. “I don’t know.”

“Yes, you do.”

“No. I don’t,” I say, a bit annoyed.

“Do you like your job?”

“Yes.”

“Is it your dream?”

“Of course not. You know my dream. I want to marry, raise a family, and live in a small town. It might not sound exciting to people like you, but to me, it sounds like home.”

An endearing smile curves his lips. “I do know that. I was talking about your dream job?”

“Oh. Right.” I think for a minute. “I guess my dream job would be to have a successful book cover business. I’d love to do more fantasy covers. They’re so pretty and can be so intricate in design. I like making author and brand logos, too.”

“And what’s preventing you from making this dream come true?”

So much about him reminds me of Daire right now. I don’t point that out. He’d take it the wrong way. “Clients, putting more time toward it, building my platform and social media presence for the business.”

“Everything you do for your stepdad’s company, then?”

“Yes.”

“So you have the skills to do it.”

Not a question, but I answer. “Yes.”

“Can you put more time toward this dream?”
