“Are you kidding? I’d marry you tomorrow.” He leaned down and kissed me.

“Next month it is. Sammy, get drawing up the plans.” Stefan glanced at him.

“On it.” He stood up. “I’ll draw it up now and show you in the morning.” He walked over and kissed the top of my head.

“I’ll call my guys first thing tomorrow morning,” Shaun said.

“We better call Giuseppe, too,” Piper spoke.

“Who?” I asked.

“Your flower guy. Don’t worry. We’ve got you covered.” She smiled.

“Come on.” Jenni grabbed my arm. “We have wedding plans to make.” She grinned. “We’ve pulled off quick weddings before and can do it again. This is so exciting!”

“No worries, Claire.” Conner held up his beer bottle. “Everything will be perfect.”

CHAPTER 34

Claire

Placing my hand over my mouth, I flew out of bed and ran to the bathroom. I sat there with my head in the toilet, but nothing would come up.

“Are you okay?” Nick asked, walking over and pulling my hair back.

“No. I feel so sick, but nothing is happening.”

He started the shower. “Come on. Let’s take a shower. Maybe it’ll help you feel better. We have to get ready to go see Georgia.”

“You get in. I’ll join you in a second.”

Nick climbed into the shower, and a few moments later, I joined him. He wrapped his arms around me and held me tight as the hot water beat down on us.

“It’ll be okay, babe.”

I felt better as he held me, and my head lay on his shoulder. He always had a way of doing that.

After showering, and as I was fixing my hair, Nick walked into the bathroom and put on some cologne. One whiff and I ran to the toilet.

“Again?” he asked.

“I’m sorry, but it’s your cologne.”

“You love this cologne. You said it turns you on.”

“That was before I was pregnant. Please, for the love of God, don’t wear it again until I’m in my second trimester.”

“Okay, babe. I’m sorry.” He leaned over and kissed the top of my head.

“Are you ready to see your little peanut?” Georgia smiled as I lay on the table.

Nick held my hand and kissed my forehead as Georgia performed the ultrasound.

“There’s your baby. And here is the heartbeat.” She turned the sound up on the monitor.

I stared at the screen as tears filled my eyes.

“Everything looks great,” Georgia said. “If you want to do the blood test to find out the gender early, we can do that today. That way, you’ll know what you’re having before the wedding.”
