"I'm not, but I'm sure your new owner will." His words made my skin crawl. "Nobody is going to come for you. So, you better just accept your new life."

"You're going to regret this."

He laughed. "Nobody is going to miss a little miscellaneous bitch like you. By the time anyone reports you missing you'll probably be dead."

There was a time when those words would have hurt because they would have been true, but now I knew this asshole was going to die. I struggled against the zip ties once more.

He smirked. "Good luck with that. You're not going anywhere."

Vince's phone buzzed in his pocket and he pulled it out and read the message. "The buyer is coming to see you. But you better hope he likes what he sees." He laughed and left the room. I heard Vince's voice outside the room, but I couldn't make out what he was saying. He was talking to someone, probably the sick freak who wanted to buy me.

I resumed inching to towards the shard of glass. I finally reached the pieces of glass. I leaned over until I could grab a piece. Gripping the glass between my thumb and index finger, I sawed frantically at the plastic zip ties around my wrist, praying it would be sharp enough to cut them. I was getting the fuck out of here, and Vince was going to die.

Wolf

I'd spent most of the afternoon extracting information from Winters before I killed him. I had a full list of buyers that used Vince's little operation. Fox was handling the elder DeLuca. Vince was supposed to be selling a girl tonight, I was going to handle him. I wanted to check on Jasmine first though.

I rang Jasmine's buzzer, but she didn't answer. I walk into the alley and see the lights of her apartment are off. Fuck, I bet she went to Eclipse. When I got to the club, it was past closing. I immediately headed to the employee exit.

"Jas isn't here," Angel said as he walked by me.

I grabbed his shoulder. "What?"

He looks me up and down, pushing my hand off his shoulder. I resisted the urge to punch him.

He stared me down. "She said you told her to quit. So she came in to give Vince her notice and pick up some outfits. She's probably home."

"She's not. Did you see her leave?" I tried to keep calm.

"No, but I work the front. She probably left out the back." He looked worried. "Yo Monique."

A short red-haired girl turned, looking annoyed as she walked over. "Don't use my real name out here."

"Did you see Jas tonight? Did she pick up her stuff?"

She looked at me suspiciously. "And you are?"

"He's her boyfriend. He's cool."

She still side-eyed me, but she answered Angel. "No, I didn't see her and stuff is still here."

"Fuck." I turned and ran to my car pulling out my phone and dialing Fox as I moved. He was the only person in the world I would trust in this situation. For the first time in my life, I felt fear.

"If anything happens to her, I'm gonna fuck you up!" Angel yelled after me.

"What is it?" Fox answered, his voice terse. I could hear agonized screams in the background. Fox hated being interrupted, but I didn't give a fuck.

"Fox, it's Jasmine. Vince has her."

There was a moment of silence. "Where is he holding her?"

"Likely, the warehouse Winters told me about. He was supposed to meet with a buyer tonight."

"Send me the address."

I was going to get her back. I raced through the city, ignoring the speed limits. I couldn't lose her. Not like this. Vince was a dead man and if he'd touched her, that death was going to be slow and painful. If anything happened to Jasmine, I would burn this city down and piss on its ashes. I would kill them all. And if she was dead, then after they were dead I'd join her.

I pulled up to the warehouse. I parked and got out, heading to the building.
