I glance around the area, trying to figure out who the hell he is talking about, but come up empty. “Uh, who, man?”

Elijah nudges his head toward the large flat screen TV hanging over the bar and I watch as Mia Perkins is being photographed from a beach somewhere. “I can’t escape her,” he mutters, then takes another drink of his beer.

“You might want to slow down if you don’t want to get drunk.”

“Come on, man. We’ve talked about this before. Let it go.”

Elijah ignores my statement and slings the rest of his beer back, then shakes it at the bartender for another. Giggles to my right catch my attention, but I do my best not to react. One of the women clears her throat behind me, then a perfectly polished nail taps my shoulder and I turn around slowly with a frown. She’s a pretty woman, but her dark hair is nothing compared to Autumn’s bright mane.

“Easton Gentry, fancy seeing you here,” she purrs while fluttering her eyelashes. “Maybe we can take this party to the dance floor?”

As much as I’d love to be able to agree to it, there’s something holding me back and it happens to be my sister’s best friend. There’s not a single woman in this place that I want to be on that dance floor with besides Autumn.

I shake my head and frown. “Not interested, sorry.”

She pokes her bottom lip out, then she and her friend scurry over to another group of guys who are more willing to give them what they want. Elijah clears his throat behind me and smirks. “Looked like you were considering it for a second.”

“Not at all.”

“How’re things going with Autumn?” Elijah suddenly asks.

When I look at him, he’s got an eyebrow raised as if daring me to lie to him, and I narrow my eyes. “Fine.”

“Just fine?”

If you count how the memory of her skin against mine is constantly drifting through my mind, leaving me desperate for her, then, yes, fine. I’m not about to say that to Elijah though, so I just nod and take a long sip of my beer. “Yep.”

My phone pings with a text from Autumn, letting me know that she and Bethany just got back home, and I slam my beer down on the counter before throwing a few bills next to it. “I’ve gotta head out, thanks for the company.”

Elijah’s mouth opens in shock, then he shakes his head and mumbles something under his breath as I walk away from him.

I’ve been craving the sound of Autumn’s moans for days now and there’s no way I’m not going to hear them tonight.

It’s quiet when I push the front door open, but the soft melodies soon make themselves known as I get further into the house. There’s music coming from Autumn’s room and I lean against the door, trying to hear her angelic voice through the hard wood.

After a few minutes of listening, I finally knock loudly on the door and she pulls it open with her lips parted. Her eyes fall over my frame, taking in every inch of me, and I’ve never felt so damn alive under someone’s gaze. There’s something about the heat that swirls in her blue eyes that has me taking a tentative step toward her.

She takes a small step back and frowns. “Easton, what are you doing?”

“You’re driving me insane, Red.” I take another step toward her and shake my head. “I’ve done nothing but think about you since I left and it’s infuriating.”

“So then stop thinking about me,” she says.

“That’s the thing, Autumn, I can’t stop.” When her back hits against the wall, I run my knuckles down the slope of her neck with a smirk. “And I don’t want to. Where’s Bethany?”

“She’s asleep.”

That’s all I need to hear before I slam my lips to hers while bringing her hands high above her head and push my tongue between her parted lips. This kiss is like nothing I’ve ever felt before. There’s an intensity to it, like if I don’t keep brushing our lips together I’ll die from lack of oxygen.

I slowly release her hands, then bring my fingers to the column of her throat and squeeze gently. The whimper that slips from her lips nearly sends me over the edge and I use the momentum to grip her ass, lifting her until she’s got her legs wrapped around my waist and I walk us to her bed.

Our lips don’t part as I lay her down, shoving the large blanket away from us, and I take the moment to pull away from her. She’s wearing a thin tank top that shows her pebbled nipples, so I lean down and take one between my teeth. Her back arches into me as she shifts her hips every which way in search of a release.

My dick is hard beneath the fabric of my pants begging to be released, but I’m taking my time.

Autumn watches me as I kiss down the length of her body and grip the waistband of her shorts and pull them down slowly. Her eyes dilate at the sight and it only makes me that much more feral for her. How could I have put this off for so long? There’s nothing in the world like this.

“I’ve been craving another taste of you, Red.”
