Chapter Thirteen

RAVEN

We fell asleep wrapped around each other again, so when I’m awoken by Mac pushing his erection against my arse, I’m reminded of how horny I am. I can hear his soft snores, so I know he’s asleep. He’s been so great that maybe we could turn this into a convenience thing. I mean, he’s my acting old man, and it isn’t like I haven’t been here before with Vinn or Chains.

He shifts against me again and his cock presses right at my opening. I close my eyes, enjoying the feel of him there. I carefully turn onto my back and glance at his sleeping face. He looks hot yet peaceful. His hand travels over my stomach and up towards my breast, where he caresses my erect nipple through his shirt. I let my hand fall against his erection and my eyes widen when I feel the thickness and length. He’s huge. He thrusts up into my hand, and I take a firm grip through his boxers. I let him thrust a few more times before I take control. My head’s still fuzzy from the wine I drank at dinner, and if he regrets this tomorrow, I’ll blame it on that.

I kneel between his legs and tug his boxers halfway down his thighs. He stays sleeping, so I have time to assess the enormous erection as it lays against his stomach. I use both hands to grip the base, and he lets out a groan. I smile, leaning down and running my tongue over the swollen end. Tasting his pre-cum on my tongue, it spurs me on to take him into my mouth. His deep moan sends wetness pooling in my panties. It’s been too long.

I run my tongue up and down the length before sucking him back into my mouth and doing my best to accommodate his size. He grips my hair, his eyes still tightly shut as he pushes me to take him deeper.

“Shit,” he hisses, “Meg.” I pause for a second . . . wasn’t that his brother’s wife? Suddenly, he thrusts up, almost choking me. The feel of my throat tightening makes me gag and I cough. Mac’s eyes shoot open and he immediately looks down at me.

“Fuck,” he cries, and before he can say anything else, he comes, filling my mouth until I can’t swallow fast enough and it spills out, running down his cock. He looks so horrified, I don’t know what to do, so I carefully sit up, wipe my mouth on my hand, and stare back at him. “What the fuck was that?” he pants, pulling his boxers back into place.

“Erm . . .” Words fail me, so I shrug helplessly. I don’t understand why he looks so upset.

“I thought I was dreaming,” he adds, looking confused.

“Sorry, I thought you—”

“I didn’t!” he cuts in sharply, and I feel my cheeks burn with embarrassment. He throws his legs over the edge of the bed and places his head in his hands. “Fuck.”

“Oh my god,” I whisper, “I’m so fucking sorry.” I suddenly feel like some kind of sex predator, and I rush to the bathroom and throw up into the toilet. I fall to my hands and knees, coughing hard until I have nothing left.

“Raven,” he says, appearing somewhere behind me.

I hold my hand up behind me to stop him coming any closer. This is embarrassing enough without him watching me vomit. “Can we do this later?”

“Sure,” he mumbles. I hear him leave and sigh with relief. I just fucked everything up. I’m the biggest idiot ever.

I dress early for work and leave before the rest of the club is awake. Vinn has a meeting at nine with a woman who runs a charity to support women’s refuges. We’ll put the pictures out ourselves onto social media and hope the press gets wind of them. A busy day is exactly what I need right now to take my mind off Mac and my fuck-up.

At exactly eight-thirty, Vinn arrives looking smart in a suit and shades. He’s hand-in-hand with Sofia, who looks equally as stunning in a white summer dress and sandals. They look great together. My heart aches.

I hand Vinn his morning coffee and give mine to Sofia. Luckily, I didn’t drink any yet. “I thought it would be good to have my fiancée in the pictures,” says Vinn, and I smile wide.

“Great idea. Well done.”

“I want to look like a family man.”

“Of course.” Sofia doesn’t look happy at all. She doesn’t bother to fake a smile. Instead, she takes the coffee and sits in the reception area, leaving Vinn to go into his office alone. “Are you okay?” I ask politely.

“I thought you were leaving this job.”

I’m taken aback by her stand-off attitude, and I frown. “Erm, well, I was taking some time out, but with the newspaper article, I thought I’d come and help.”

“Wonderful. Well done to you for saving the day.”

I take a seat at my desk, unsure of how to deal with her. “Can I get you anything else?” I decide that ignoring her bad attitude is the way to go.

“Nope,” she mutters, sighing.

By nine, the office temperature is at freezing point and so I’m relieved when Vinn’s meeting turns up with the photographer at the same time. I spring into action, making drinks and introducing everyone. Vinn and Sofia sit together on the couch in his office, hand-in-hand. The photographer takes a few snapshots. “I was surprised when I received an email about this meeting, Mr. Romano,” says Ms. Stone. “I approached you on numerous occasions for support and donations to the charity.”

“I see,” says Vinn, glancing at me for help.
