“Well, you never know,” I said. “I might feel extra relaxed and extra naughty…”

Henry made fists. “That kind of talk is going to drive me insane, honey.”

“You started it.”

Henry nodded. “Yes, I did.”

He took a deep breath and walked out of the bathroom.

I never met someone who could make me feel so wanted, needed, relaxed, taken care of, and protected so quickly.

As though… you know… maybe Henry and I were meant to be.

I ran my hand along the most comfortable, fuzzy robe I’d ever felt in my entire life.

So comfy it almost distracted me from the almost full bathtub behind me.

I stood in front of the circular mirror, staring at myself. My phone within reach. Temptation tickling my soul.

What if I just pull the right side of the robe down? Show off my shoulder? A little boob action… but not the entire thing… no nipple, okay? A quick pic. Send it to Henry. Drive him insane.

Except I needed Henry to focus.

I clutched the robe tighter.

Henry was outside about to put my son on a quad and let him ride along the beach.

My Mom brain kicked into high gear with the millions of potential accidents.

I had no idea where the closest hospital was. Furthermore, there was zero chance that our health insurance would cover something going wrong this far away from home.

All that sexy temptation vanished and I walked to the window because I needed to see that my son was alive and well and not flipped over on a quad with the machine on top of him as he screamed for me to save him.

Mom brain…

I looked out to the ocean, then down to the beach.

I saw Henry and Travis. With two quads.

Henry towering over my son, pointing out different parts of the quad.

From where I stood Henry appeared patient and calm. I had no doubt that’s how it was on the beach.

Henry made a fist and held it out for Travis.

Travis punched Henry’s fist and climbed onto the quad.

I sucked in a breath.

Henry touched Travis’s shoulder.

Henry reached back and gave Travis a helmet.

I sighed with a little relief.

After helping Travis get the helmet on, Henry made sure it was properly secured.

He then turned the quad on for Travis.
