Again.

I’m slowly fucking her.

Memorizing her. Feeling her.

She comes hard and then slowly…

I’m holding her too.

My right arm wrapped around her body.

I need her close to me as I fuck her.

My left hand is flat on the bed, our only real support for balance.

But I’ve got it. I’ve got her. I’ve got us.

Mila pulls with her ankles against my lower back, wanting more.

I begin to thrust harder. Each pump of my body just a bit more than the previous one.

I’m really not sure what the hell we’re doing right now to each other.

I refuse to think of this as making love.

I’m fucking her. I’m fucking Mila.

It doesn’t matter even if it’s slow and intense. It doesn’t matter if my heart is racing more than I ever felt with someone before.

We’re just fucking.

It cannot be any more than that.

JAX

“Okay, listen to me, Jax,” Willow says. “There will be some written stuff to hand in. It’s not about getting answers right as much as knowing the information. So let’s look at this case study… are you paying attention to me?”

“Not really,” I say.

“Wow. Honesty.”

“Willow, let’s take a break for a second.”

“You just got here.”

I place my hand on the open book. “I’m going to do just fine on this one. Okay? The example is a small carpet business. The guy in charge has too much inventory. Right? So at first he used cash to buy the inventory. Now he’s cash strapped. So he’s using credit for other things. Now he’s facing interest charges and minimum payments which will get him nowhere. This isn’t a business failure. It’s an inventory issue.”

“What should he do?”

“Unload the inventory,” I say. “He needs to keep better track of what customers are ordering. Unload what he can. If he has to break even or take a loss, oh well. Lesson learned.”

“Inventory,” Willow says. “Remember what FIFO means?”

“I’ve got it,” I say. “Depending on the business… for example, perishable items… you have to know how to rotate and prepare. First in… first out… I’ve got it. And there’s inventory for last in…”

“Okay,” Willow says. “Now, let’s talk advanced depreciation.”
