“Bunny, maybe stop with the hurt rich girl act.”

I swing my head around. “Hurt rich girl act?” I ask, the words sounding bitter as they leave my mouth.

“Yes. You were raised with money. You have money. Let’s not pretend that you aren’t a rich girl, rich girl.”

“Fuck. You!” I basically spit at him as I unlock my door.

“You already did that, bunny, but if you want me to be your devious lover, I can, and you can be my devious beloved.” He smiles as I slam the door and turn around.

Asshole.

CHAPTER 10

WHISKEY

Mr. Snow has called to make an appointment to see me the next morning, it’s been a while since I have done business with Gerald but now it’s all about to change. He’s known to the community as the good guy, the loving family man. But we all know what a fucking lie that is.

I’ve been calling Lottie to organize this wedding, and I’ve got zero fucking response. No matter, I’ll gladly ask my personal assistant to do it. She loves that shit.

Regardless of what Lottie does, how she reacts, or how she treats me, I have little care factor when it comes to her rich girl tantrums. It simply doesn’t matter how much of a temper Lottie seems to have or how much she wants to deny the wedding. It will all go through, it will be perfect, and it will happen.

“You sent a suit to my house. It’s happening then?” Barry steps into my office wearing an open shirt and black pants. He looks like he’s ready to go out and get laid. Let’s face it, he probably is.

“Yes. Wear it to the party this weekend.”

Barry scratches his chin and shakes his head. “Who else is attending?”

“Business associates. Her family. You.”

“Perfect show then. But will your fiancée be up to play?”

Just as I go to answer him, the door to my office springs open and in struts—yes, struts—my fiancée.

Dressed in all black with her hair tied up in a high bun, a corset wrapped around her tight little waist, and shorts so short I don’t want her to bend over in front of Barry and give him a show.

I sit back in my chair as she walks over to me, not even giving a second glance to Barry. She throws a dress on my desk. “You think you can dress me?” Lottie looks down at what she’s wearing then to the dress.

“Hello, Bunny, nice to see you,” I say, looking up at a very angry face.

“Oh… it’s Bunny today, is it?” She scoffs, staring down on me with fury evident in her eyes.

“No, rich girl Lottie.”

She taps her foot on the floor.

“You have nicknames… already? How sweet,” Barry says, causing Lottie’s head to snap to him. Barry stands and holds out his hand. “I’m the better one of the two of us. The name’s Barry, and you must be the way-too-good-looking fiancée of my dick of a friend here.”

Lottie looks to his outstretched hand. At first, I think she won’t take it, but she does, shaking it then offering him a small smile she never gave me. Which, in turn, makes me furious.

“Pleasure, I’m sure.” She drops his hand then turns back to me.

“Take your dress,” she spits. “And shove it where the sun doesn’t shine.” She spins on her heels and turns to leave.

That’s when I stand. “The party is tomorrow, Lottie. You are expected to attend with me by your side.”

Lottie turns around, her hand firmly on the door handle. “And I will do so, dressed in whatever I please. Definitely not with something you had your personal assistant pick out for me to wear.”

She’s more offended that I got my personal assistant to pick it out. Well, that’s interesting.
