Sid opened Chiefy's door and let her out, then reached in and grabbed Grace's beach bag with Chiefy's water bowl and food.

Grace took her bag as Jace arrived to greet them. He hugged his friend and was surprised when Jace hugged Grace as well. Even Chiefy got a pat on the head and a 'Hello'.

"This is the table we have set up for you. I've got some signage for the front of the table. Theresa will be out here with it soon. Other than that, the servers will come along every so often to make sure you and Chiefy have enough water, and if you're hungry let them know."

"Okay."

Grace began unpacking the petitions she'd brought and the clipboard. She set pens on the table and Jace nodded to him.

"As soon as people start coming in, the servers will tell folks about the petition. You, Quinn, and I will circulate around the guests and tell them about it and encourage them to sign it. And, Hart & the Hurricanes will also announce often what the petition is for."

Sid's heart felt full as he listened to his friend's preparations for tonight. He'd thought of everything.

Sid's phone chimed and he frowned as he pulled it from his pocket. The bikers triggered the camera. He turned his phone to Jace and shook his head. "It doesn't look like they've gone up yet, but they're testing the cameras."

"Then let's send the cops there to show them the cameras work."

Sid nodded. He dialed 911 and held the phone to his ear. When the operator answered he told them quickly what was happening, and she said she'd have officers go up there and make sure everything was alright.

Sid heaved out a sigh of relief and before he'd hung up, the sirens could be heard. He turned and watched the road as the squad cars sped past. The town was small and the station not far away. He glanced at Grace and she blew him a kiss. They were in this together. That made his heart sing.

Quinn stepped out of the bar and strode toward him with a grin on his face. "Are those cops heading to your place?"

Sid grinned. "At least to the end of the driveway. The bikers are there and testing the cameras, I assume. So, we wanted them to know they work."

Quinn burst out laughing and clapped his hands together. "I love that."

Jace joined them after chatting with a few customers who were now talking to Grace.

"Okay, what we'll do tonight is mix and mingle. Chat with the guests, tell them about the petition and why it's so important. Get them to go over and chat with Grace. I just heard her explaining it to guests and she's killing it."

A man stepped from the bar and made his way to Jace.

"Hey there, Tony!" Jace shook his hand and clapped him on the back. "Sid Hoffman this is Tony Baluco. Quinn Kurtz- Tony Baluco. Tony manages Hart & the Hurricanes."

They shook hands and Tony grinned. "We'll announce often about the petition. Also, Jami Hart felt strongly about enough security, so he hired a private firm to cover the venue here and your garage Sid. Jace shared how this all started and none of us feel as though it's alright. We're here for you."

"I appreciate it. So does Grace. Thank you so much. I'll thank Jami also."

Tony laughed. "We appreciate it. I'll make sure you both meet the band. We're fired up and happy to be home for a while. We've been on the road touring."

The musicians and a couple of roadies began carrying equipment to the outdoor stage and setting it all up. A couple women squealed when they saw who was playing tonight. That was his cue to get them to sign the petition.

"I'll chat later. Since those gals over there are excited about the band, I'm going to take advantage of that and tell them about the petition.”

"Hello, I see you're excited about seeing Hart & the Hurricanes."

"We are. I didn't realize they were playing tonight."

"Are you residents of Blossom Springs?"

"I just moved here three weeks ago."

"Well, let me tell you why the band is here." Sid proceeded to tell the table about the petition, then wandered around and told another then another. Quinn and Jace were also milling about and he saw a line at the table near Grace. Chiefy laid on the sand behind the table, near Grace's chair and he smiled.

A man at a table waved him over. "You're the guy who got the Knucklehead running aren't you?"

Sid laughed. "One and the same."
