Leilani climbed out of the Maserati, which they’d borrowed from Fletcher, and giggled when Jacob met her at the door with a scowl.

“Would you let me do that?”

“We’ve got in and out of the car about eight times already today. Aren’t you sick of it?” she laughed.

“No,” Jacob said, taking her hand.

He’d surprised her today.
