Smoke gathered me close and held me as our hearts beat in unison, beat for each other.

The next morning, I was awakened by Smoke’s tongue between my legs.

“Smoke,” I moaned.

“I’m making up for lost time.” He lifted his head to stare at me, his mouth glossy with my pleasure.

“You did that last night. Twice,” I reminded him.

“So, you want me to stop?” he asked as he slid a finger into me.

“God no.” My back bowed and my fists clenched the sheets.

“Didn’t think so.” He chuckled, his warm breath fanning my skin. “Come for me. Let me see you fall apart.”

He curled his finger inside of me at the same time he flicked my clit with his tongue. I shattered, screaming loud enough I was sure everyone in the bakery could hear me.

As I gently floated back down to reality, Smoke eased his finger out of me and then crawled up the mattress to settle next to me. He took his finger and traced my lips.

“Open,” he commanded. “And suck.”

I cleaned his finger, tasting my own release.

“You’re the most gorgeous thing I’ve ever seen,” he growled. “Flushed and sated. Knowing I made you that way feels so good.”

His erection nudged my leg.

I rolled over and hoisted my body on top of his. His hands immediately grasped my hips.

My brow furrowed as I gently traced the smooth lines of his chest.

“What’s got you frowning?” he asked.

“The last thing I want to do is shatter this moment, but there’s something we didn’t really talk about last night.”

“Oh?”

I took a deep breath. “You mentioned that brothers with Old Ladies wouldn’t be directly involved with the strip club. But you—ah—don’t have an Old Lady, so does that mean you’ll be involved?”

“No,” he announced. “I guess I didn’t make that clear.”

My stomach unclenched. “But the Old Lady part?”

His hands slid up my back and urged me forward, so I was leaning on his chest, our mouths close.

“One day, I’ll ask you to be my Old Lady.”

“One day?”

“When you’re ready. We’ve got plenty of time, cupcake. Let’s enjoy this, knowing we’re moving toward that. Okay?”

“You’re really serious about that?”

“Yeah, I am. Not trying to freak you out, but that first day driving to Waco with you I knew you were it for me.”

“Smoke,” I whispered, brushing my lips against his.
