A red mist clouded my vision, and a burning inferno spread through my veins, leaving me furious and with only one thought.

Franco Moretti was a dead man walking.

Gabe grabbed my arm, but I sent him one look that made him sigh and let go of me.

I managed the ten steps it would’ve taken to cross the room in five, anger coursing through my body, leaving me ice cold and burning up at the same time.

She didn’t even try to get out of the fucker’s embrace. It didn’t look like she wasn’t here of her own free will either.

I didn’t know what was worse—her betrayal after last night or the man she chose to use for her blow against me.

I stopped right in front of them, and when Franco Moretti looked up and recognized me, I saw fear in his eyes.

Good.

He should be afraid.

Not that it would help him at all. Nobody touched what was mine. And Fee was mine.

I knew that with the same certainty that I knew Franco Moretti was fucking dead.

“Alessandro,” Moretti said and nodded once.

Fee’s head snapped around, and she stared at me, her eyes bulging, surprise clearly visible.

I couldn’t even look at her. Couldn’t even deal with the level of betrayal, of backstabbing, of hurt. Then my eyes settled on his arm around her waist. And the fury I barely held under control exploded in my brain.

I grabbed Franco’s throat, squeezed until he let go of Fee and instead wrapped his hand around my forearm in a futile attempt to keep me from cutting off his windpipe.

“Touch her again, and I’ll end you.”

I inhaled, chuckled, then leaned closer. “You know what. Never mind. I’ll end you right here, right now anyway.”

I pulled out my knife, opened it one-handed, and ignored Gabe’s annoyed sigh and Fee’s sharp inhale of breath.

I couldn’t even look at her.

Couldn’t deal with the onslaught of emotions her betrayal set in motion. I just couldn’t.

Franco stared at the blade of my knife, then back at me, his eyes begging, his breath labored. “I actually asked Fee to meet me here to get a chance to talk to you.”

Yeah, right.

“Alex.” Fee’s breathy voice was almost inaudible over the bruising volume of the music.

“What?”

“He’s here to talk to you, not fight you.”

I scoffed. “Well, tough, luck.” I shrugged. “Since I’m here to kill him.”

I should’ve expected my little princess to get all up in my face, but it came as a surprise when she walked right into me, got up on her tiptoes, and pushed her nose right into mine. “Let go of him right the fuck now.”

She was clearly pissed—not as pissed as I was—she was pissed more in an angry fairy kind of way, and if I hadn’t been so mad at her, and if I hadn’t needed to kill Moretti, I might’ve just stripped her naked, tied her to a spanking bench and had everyone in the club have a turn with her.

Maybe Gabe was onto something.

As it was, though, I needed her out of my face and out of Sanctum. “Matt,” I growled, my gaze remained locked with hers.
