Realizing I wasn’t wrong about Bellamy and her team doesn’t give me the relief I thought it would. It leaves me with more questions. And I can tell by everyone’s reactions I’m not alone in that. Prez looks down at his daughter and then at the people, her people methodically working with the efficiency only a well-oiled machine does. He says nothing as he regards them pensively. His eyes reveal that his mind is running a hundred miles a second, trying to figure out how to address his daughter and this revelation. There is also a sense of regret, and his decisions from the past are eating him alive. This revelation shows not just him but all of us what she and her mother are capable of. It also gives insight into her and Blaze’s life. For Prez, I don’t think that’s a problem per se, but knowing your kids run into the type of situations where they have a clean-up crew of this magnitude on hand. That is fucking with my Prez’s head.

Prez turns back, and with determination, he stomps into the clubhouse and through the main room without a word. The brothers and prospects that would typically be a part of the clean-up follow him and head directly to church. Sin is still walking next to me, looking down at her. I see her face is set, her eyes are on her sisters, and she never wavers as she watches Bellamy. This may be a mistake, but I do it anyway. I put my arm around her shoulders and pulled her close to me.

“You good kid?” I say. My words are conversational, and my tone is calm. Only Sin can hear.

Her eyes never leave Bellamy’s. She doesn’t respond to my closeness or question for a few beats. Then she stops walking without warning. The abruptness of it has everyone behind us stopping in their tracks. We receive a few looks with concern and furrowed brows. I wave them off. I pull her to the side and allow everyone to continue.

Bull stops and looks between Sin and me with concern. The kid has been off since his sister and brother made their presence known. I know he feels like shit because his mother, being pregnant with him, kicked all this shit off. It was Beverly's shit that had Prez make the tough decision to turn his back on the woman he loved and the kid or kids she was carrying. Prez and I tried more than once to get him to understand that nothing was on him. He didn’t ask to be born. Bull didn’t ask for his mother to be a conniving bitch. All this shit that’s happening isn’t on him. I can almost guarantee tonight’s attack was Beverly and her fucked up family and no one else.

I try to wave him off, but Sin's arm shoots out, stopping him. Taking my arm from around her, I step a few feet and lean my shoulder against the wall. She has something she needs to say to him. Luckily, everyone continued to the chapel, so no one remained in the hallway to hear what Sin had to say. Sin stares at him, and her eyes are filled with questions and concern. But I also see determination.

“He’s a good man, right? I know shit’s fucked up. But this is worth it. Us telling you about us, helping you, being here is worth it? Tell me it’s worth it?” Sin says with a shaky voice.

Bull takes a step closer to her, and his eyes are filled with something I can’t quite figure out. He grabs her hand, pulling her attention to him and only him.

“My father is a good man. He fucked up. And shit… I… he made a hard decision in an impossible situation. He knows he has work to do and will do it. My father hasn’t had much time with Blaze and Bellamy with all this shit going on. He’s been giving them time. But I want you to know this club is filled with the best men and women I’ve ever known. My family is and will always be worth it. They will protect and bleed for one another without question. I hope that soon you and your brother and sister will see that. I won’t force it, nor will anyone else who is a part of LSMC.” He takes a breath, staring into her eyes. “Except for Princess, who I realize is just as self-absorbed and self-centered as our mother. Everyone else is more than willing to welcome you all with open arms because we are family, even if we just found each other, even if there is conflict between Prez, Bull, and Bellamy. Hopefully, once we stop whatever shit my mother got us into. We can all come together and become stronger as a family.” He gives her a small smile.

Running his hands through his hair, looking up and past Sin’s shoulder, his body stiffens, and his eyes become trained on something at the end of the hall. With his brows furrowed, I look toward what has his attention. My eyes connect with Blaze, Pain, and Rocket, who are staring with various looks of understanding. Sin's voice breaks. She doesn’t notice her brother's and cousin's arrival.

“I know they…” she sighs. “I know Bellamy was open to getting to know you all, even if she’s pissed for a bit. My brother Blaze holds a damn grudge like no other, but I know he isn’t as opposed to getting to know you all as he seems to be. I just… I don’t want to see them hurt. I know what it is to lose those that created you. I know what that can do to you. I know you all just met, but I don’t want us to get to know you only to find out you are all…”

Before she can continue speaking, Blaze strides toward us with a softness in his eyes as he watches his younger sister. The softness I see in him is something that I’ve only seen a few times since meeting him. A softness is seen only when he is dealing with his sisters. The deadly man seems putty in their hands and is fiercely protective, which I respect about him.

Blaze walks up behind Sin and pulls her to his side, squeezing her into him. “Kitty, it will be okay. They are good people; I know I have my issues with Gunner and will deal with them. I know I haven’t been the best big brother lately, and I’ve been a selfish prick. Not seeing what me and Bellamy giving the old man a hard time was doing to you… I’m sorry, little sister. I’m so sorry that I’ll even let you have the Cobra.” Whatever the fuck Cobra is, it has her face lighting up as she stares excitedly up at him. He gives her a wink, and I hear Rocket say some shit about wanting a pussy and feelings and some other shit. At that, Pain pops him in the back of the head. Blaze shakes his head at his cousins and continues. He rubs his hand down his face.

“I’ll work on it. It won’t happen overnight, but it will happen. I promise you that. Let’s get in here and fill these fuckers in on what I found out.” She looks up and nods at him in understanding.

Looking up at me, the shift is instant. His expression blanks while still holding Sin next to him he asks.

“Where in the hell is my sister?” His tone is deadly, causing my eyes to narrow on him.

I say nothing to the fucker who will be my brother-in-law one day. After patting Bull, I turn on my heels and walk toward the chapel.

Once I walk through the doors, I look around the room. As always, with full club meetings, it’s a tight fit. We are currently working on that. Us being like sardines in a can shouldn’t be an issue much longer. As the years go by and we patch more and more new brothers in, this space is bursting at the seams. We’ve already emptied the surrounding rooms and knocked out the walls. Prez wants to make the space more like an auditorium. He likes what they have in Sacramento. Because of how our club was built, we don’t have the option of a separate building, but their setup is what Prez likes, so we are aiming for that.

More than a handful of brothers are missing, but I’m sure the call will go out by the night's end. The club will most definitely go on lockdown, which will be a nightmare, but it’s needed until we understand who the fuck is coming at us and how far they will go.

My eyes instantly honed in on my tornado sitting in my chair beside her Pops. A huge smile crosses her face when she feels my eyes on her and looks up at me. I don’t look at anyone as I make my way to her. I can feel Prez’s and everyone else’s eyes on me. I don’t give a shit. Once I reach my seat, I bend down and pick up my little troublemaker. Her arms instantly wrap around my neck. The second she is in my arms, my dick is rock hard. Ignoring it, I shift her so that I can sit in my chair with her on my lap. When she realizes what she does to me, she lets out a chuckle and shifts so her back is to my front, and I fight like hell not to groan when her ass rubs against my already rock-hard cock. Fucking shit. Her head turns toward me, and our eyes stay connected as we take each other in. I ignore the snickers of everyone around us and watch my little tornado's hazel eyes darken, and I smirk because that can only mean one thing.

“Why in the absolute fuck is my daughter sitting on your lap, VP? Are your legs tired? Are the bottom of your feet allergic to the ground?” Prez's tone, although seeming playful, is anything but. I hear the warning. I'm not an idiot. I’m also not backing down from making it known precisely why my woman is sitting in my lap. I shift, looking around the room and see everyone's eyes are on me, including her team. My eyes return to my Prez’s. His face is blank, all amusement and teasing gone. But I know this is probably not going to end well. But fuck it. He can beat my ass later for not asking permission to be with his girl.

He wants to hear the words.

So, I say what he and everyone never expected me to say, “Because she’s mine.” I hold my Prez’s glare. His eyes darken and narrow. He knows I wouldn’t say shit if it weren’t my intention to claim her in all ways. And he also knows that I’m the type of man who will protect her, even though he knows she doesn’t need it.

“Good Luck,” he says while holding back a snicker.

A few of the brothers don’t have that problem, which has me breaking eye contact with my Prez and looking at the peanut gallery. Blaze, Pain, Rocket, and Sin stand just inside the door, leaning against the far wall. Blaze is staring at Prez, while the other three are staring at me with amusement. I’m smart enough to know that me saying she is mine means fuck all to her. Not until I prove myself, and I’ll be damned if anyone will impede that.

Bellamy Dianne Church-Petrov is mine.
