“You don’t have to explain,” I say.
“Uh, considering what we’re about to do—what I hope we’re about to do—it’s kind of relevant.” Bailey shifts her hips, and her eyes go wide. “Why does that make you hard?”
“You’ve been in the room for at least fifteen minutes,” I say, feeling my own blush start. “I’ve been hard. Maybe you just didn’t notice.”
Bailey shakes her head, a sharp look in her eye.

The alarm is familiar, but for some reason sounds far away, so smacking my nightstand has no effect on making it stop. I groan as I reach over, feeling around for my phone. When my search turns up nothing, I manage to pry my eyes open.

Memory comes back full force, and I realize Bailey’s nowhere to be found either. I groan again, scrubbing a hand over my face.
