“We should head to bed,” he says, glancing at Bailey first, then me. I nod and wait for them both to stand before rising off the couch, wrapping that towel around my waist again. Bailey smothers a grin.

“What?”

“Nothing,” she says. She grabs her suitcase and follows Drew into the bedroom opposite mine. I move to follow and stop.

Drew said “head to bed” like he was talking about sleep, not more of… whatever that craziness on the couch was. I’ll be sleeping in my own bed, obviously.

And yet, I stand there for a moment, indecision riding me far longer than it should.

“Lawson.” Drew’s voice snaps me out of it.

“What?”

“Get in here.”

Guess that answers that.

Bailey shuts herself in the en suite bath. I hear the shower switch on and wonder just what the hell I’m supposed to do now.

When in doubt, brazen it out. As mottos go it’s a little perfunctory, but it’s served me well so far. Especially when it comes to Drew Hicks.

I don’t wait for an invitation this time—I crawl into the middle of the king-sized bed and fluff the pillows up behind me. When I catch Drew watching me, I fold my hands behind my head, flexing my abs as hard as I can.

He notices.

“Make yourself comfortable,” he says dryly, tossing the boxers he held back into the open dresser drawer beside him. His body really is ridiculous. Thick and strong, enough meat to hang on to. If one were so inclined.

The towel around my waist twitches visibly. Drew notices that too.

“I think I will,” I say. My mouth goes dry as he walks slowly to the side of the bed, climbing up to kneel next to me.

“You’re awfully agreeable all of a sudden,” he says, the hint of a smile at his mouth.

I absolutely will not laugh, not when he’s making fun of me.

“I like you like this,” he continues. Drew sets his hand on my shoulder, shoving me back into the pillows when I try to sit up.

“You would,” I say. My brain clearly isn’t back online yet because I can’t stop staring at his mouth and I know he’s teasing me, but I can’t bring myself to get mad about it. Not with his cock right there, getting thicker by the second.

“I—” Drew stops before he finishes the thought as the bathroom door opens. It takes me an extra second to see why he’s staring. When I tear my greedy eyes off his body and look over at Bailey, I realize why.

She’s taken the fastest shower in history apparently, and is now wearing only an old band T-shirt and as far as I can tell, nothing else.

Hang on. That shirt—

“Ross,” I say, sitting up straight. Drew lets me this time. Maybe because my voice has gone scratchy. “Ross, is that…?”

Bailey glances over at me, suddenly shy. Considering everything that just happened between us I find it adorable, but it barely registers because she nods.

“What?” asks Drew. “What is it?”

“My old band T-shirt,” I say. “You kept it?” Bailey nods again, biting her lip and giving me a smile, taking my breath away. It’s too much.

“Coop let me borrow this shirt back in school,” Bailey tells Drew, though her eyes never leave mine. “I meant to give it back before the end of the semester, but…”

“No you didn’t,” says Drew. He sounds very serious, and I should probably be worried about that. This is his girl, after all. I’m just here for… I dunno, fun or whatever. They have a much longer history together, one that doesn’t include the likes of me. Even if I met Bailey first.

I can’t believe she kept that shirt. Seeing her wear it ten years ago blew my mind. Seeing her wear it now?
