Nathan almost growled in utter pleasure the moment she said “please.”

He moved toward the brass headboard and the restraints hidden there. “Wait,” she whispered. Nathan stopped just short of the pillows.

Her quiet voice made him focus on her mouth when she said, “I don’t want to take anything off the table. Nathan pulled the sheets down and directed her to the center of the bed. On her back, staring at the ceiling, was not how he expected her to stay.
